I feel like bwat has handled the whole meeting as a minor trope better than most I've ever read, U don't see a mutual establishment of feelings and evth is extremely one sided. You can see that Tei establishes himself instead as a guardian and temporary solution , not a potential future partner. I still found it weird tho how he was there with him for three years, instead of just meeting like for a day. I thought that would have been the best way to establish the best way to approach their age gap and start them off with a very strong confirmation that the adult had no underlying intentions behind the initial meeting w a minor if it was just a very short meeting of formality
