I think you're right. The author probably only knew they wanted to make a 3p story about hugos and humans, but didn't really flesh out all the small details and plot points. That's probably why it feels so shallow and haphazard.

Daniel was the last antagonist and the strongest one at that, he is the best friend of Herrace, the blonde or yellow haired guy that Libertia called angel at the start. He troubled the og fl and ml that the ml couldn't even fight back because they've indirectly killed his best friend(Herrace), then he disappeared all of a sudden probably out of boredom or he decided it that revenge is meaningless, I forgot, but it is still implied that he is the only one who live at the end in the og story out of all of them besides the og story's main protagonists.
