I appreciate the answer in advance! I hate harems.

A Harem manga/anime features a main character (MC) who is surrounded by people who love or like them. The "Harem" can consist of any number of people. It's common for the MC to be oblivious to the romantic feelings of others because they see the other characters as friends. This theme is prevalent in many manga and anime.

Is that so? But I would still say it's not really, since when the girls like him, most of the sentiment is "I wish I had become his friend sooner, cuz there's no one else like him", with how he breaks down the walls of prejudice, he's almost like a savior and a monster bc of his strength. He's mostly treated like an absolute weirdo by others. I haven't seen anything like "I wanna marry him, or I wish he were mine" kinda thing so far

I am glad that jay is the ML because I don’t like when there is a power difference between them. Ian is her subordinate. We don’t really think about it but due to the time period this is set on ! It gives me the ick! There is a reason why workplaces forbid romances and if you want to look in to it, look for power dynamics in the military and why they forbid romance.
Sorry for the long message
is it a harem?
Yes, even from the original source
