Her dying wish was for him to stay away from her in their next life, not for him to make her happy in their next life. He’s ignoring her dying wish so I’m not rooting for him in any way, shape or form.

No one is married. The ending just suggests that they’re meeting for the first time after being engaged, which is why I’m pissed off because he should’ve walked away from her. Before she died, she told him she wanted him to stay away from her in their next life. He remembers that and yet he still walked up to her tans took her hand. That means he ignored her dying wish so he’s still a piece of shxt in my eyes.

u know her parents are abusive if he walked away she will probably get married of to some old flock for money and i hate the ml too hes a trash can so I just hoped if he us reborn hell be good just letting my heart be fine

We don’t know what that second life is like. In their first life, she wasn’t smiling like that, as if she had a happy life to begin with. I’m not going to make assumptions about what’s happening in their second life. All I know is she told him she didn’t want anything to do with him and it looks like he decided to ignore her dying wish

I think it’s more that most countries have a history of downplaying the suffering of African-American slaves. It’s less the slavery and more the continued stereotype that African-American people claim to be oppressed while having it better than everyone else (eg: the welfare queen). Specifically in this manga the African-American coded mc may be in slavery but lives in luxury as the bottom. It’s just a lot of people being uncomfortable with this story due to their understanding of the western cultural cannon. The story has nice art and good characters, so it’s sad that it perpetuates racial stereotypes. I think it’s fine to have a discussion regarding the bad qualities of the media we like, we can acknowledge that Stevan king is a good horror writer while acknowledging he’s a racist bastard <3
