he's so pitiful and wretched i can't muster up even an ounce of hatred for what he's done, like the blind and diseased rats that brought the bubonic plague. characters like him (don't hate me) are kinda charming; no matter how much you dislike them, they'll always dislike themselves even more.

THANK YOU. Like she literally didn’t have anyone to turn to of course she doesn’t know how to interact with people on a daily basis and miss certain social cues. Not to mention a place where society roles are different and much more complex than modern society.

Not the extent you think?? aside from him transgressing into a blonde guy and guide thing, the plot is vastly different, I will say there are lots of other korean guideverse novels that are way more similar to this than regas is
The beginning vibes is kinda like REGAS:
- taking care of a younger super strong Seme.
- Seme imprinted on Uke
- Uke died protecting young Seme.
- Seme grown up to be high position, strong & scary.
- Enemy keep sending "clones" of Uke to Seme.
- Seme killed them all and have trust issues.
- Uke possessed/reborn in different body who I'd now younger than Seme.
- Uke born into a pretty boy body. With bad health.
- Uke did not realise he is in different body at first.
- Uke went to find a trusted person (coincidentally proficient in medical stuff) and know about all their secret, therefore got acknowledged that he is who he is.
- Uke was gonna reveal himself, but the helper told him what's going on and he better not go directly to Seme.
(Now, the difference start. In "Regas", Uke determined to go back to danger for the sake of Seme, while here, Uke want a peacefull life".
I would say, this story also got inspiration from BL called: "Kill The Light".
Which in the story, the Uke's new body have really bad reputation, obsessed with the Seme, and have a suicidal tendency.
