Nope, women in a lot of cultures are raised to be subservient to men unfortunately. A good girl doesn't talk back and serves her spouse and in laws without questions and talking back. The men are taught that they should be obeyed and served. This results in a massive power imbalance and men tend to believe that they can do whatever they want. Abuse and marital rape is a common thing and a woman is told to bear it because things will eventually get better once you have kids but unfortunately, women spend their whole lives oppressed in the hope of things getting better. They sometimes do get better, but it's when the kids have grown up and their while life has passed.
Just in case someone wants to comment that this is a prejudiced view of Asian/ colored people and their society from a white person's pov, I am not white, I am Asian and this kind of toxic mentality is unfortunately quite common here and even in orthodox white families.

i read some spoilers and they said that this is actually juvelian's third life because she was originally the og juve in her first life but she got killed, right? then the goddess, granted her a second life in modern world and showed juve her previous life thru a novel then she died again, and went back to being juvelian. as for regis', we all know everything is a misunderstanding, right? 'cause in truth, regis loves her daughter very much and he is only being controlled by the emperor. so when juve died in the first life, he went batshit crazy and destroyed the whole empire. literally killed everyone in the empire. then when he saw the crown of the emperor, he thought that it (the crown) would only look good if juve was wearing it or sumn. neways, he then makes a wish to see juve once again and then poof. i think everything goes back in time but nobody remembers anything even regis. however, he would constantly have nightmares of their previous life every night that's why he sometimes see visions of dead juve in the current timeline.
