The MCs are in a Chinese sword fantasy wuxia, where characters learn special martial arts through years of training to become immortal. Basic plot elements involve martial arts schools, superpowers, Masters/students and sword fighting. In these stories, there is a "right" and "wrong" way to train. Wrong way = demonic way growing strong by more malicious means.
The MCs are in a pretty classic setup for these.
Master trains this star pupil who becomes the big shot has a 50% of being actually "evil".
Then, a character with a poor background is enrolled at their school and shows everyone how cool they are. The star pupil gets jealous and does something to the Poor Character.
Poor Character then gains a new power to fight back bring down the star pupil and win the day.
The MCs are in the roles of the Master and the star pupil.
I'm pretty happy with the ending no need to drag it out anymore than it needs too. This is a dark comedy/romance after all.

With some good old fashion ntr where Nux does the good bois and makes the tan one watch l(and the tan will also have to wear a chastity belt). If now tan Owen gets his teeth kicked in at the very least.
All are going on about the warm thing I'm just sitting here thinking damn the mermaid saw them bloody kissing and realized interspecies relationships were possible. That's why the plot went by so fast damn.

Its been a while, our main couple iare finally together. The title is still super a lie now but maybe this new kid will bring the kinky factor up.
This is still one of my favorite super toxic to tame series. (Still pretty great for people who enjoy toxic treats but moves on into a full cleanser)
This story is fun there are a few iffy things but it seems like the author got a handle on it. For anyone worried about Cloa, they clear up things pretty fast. I'd say there was an editor who was like hey add some fanservice they did the bare minimum to past that.
So this seem like a good found family situation overall. With a home boy on his quest of healing from horrible parents
For anyone that doesnt understand, it's called being a connoisseur. The author just served a hot evil guy with a side of tentacles. If that's not to your likely that's fine. I'll enjoy all the calamari.
However for those prefer another dish that's just as toxic but no monster bits I recommend, Profundis.
