Ash deserved better :( His fate was so cruel... but I guess the way he passed was the best option. If he tried to go to Japan he would probably be stopped by security and if he continued to live he would eventually get arrested (or continuously targeted). Death really is the kindest ending you could give Ash, and that breaks my heart so so much.
