Exactlyyy, I hate it when people see toxic and they’re like "oh it’s just another toxic manhwa" no it’s not ?? The characters are acting a certain way because of trauma, their whole backstory is out and their thought process too yet people don’t want to dive deeper. It’s sad that the author took time to develop their characters, flesh them out and yet people don’t take the time to understand the complexity, the moment they think "oh it’s just another toxic shit"

Tbh, I don’t have problem with the mc. The ML got on my nerves everytime he got the screen time. I’m not a fan of this type. Trauma had to be handled carefully, the author decided how these characters handled theirs and it just didn’t sit right with me. I’m not asking you to agree w me. I tried to re read this twice, the mc is just too passive and I understand where’s he’s coming from and his situation, i don’t like this power imbalance they got going on.
I get it that this story just doesn’t suit your preference but to say that it’s a typical toxic kr bl is erroneous. The author didn’t give these flawed characters such compelling backstory and history to be disrespected like that. You might not agree with the way the characters handled their trauma but no one acts perfectly rational all the time and this author wants to show a story where these characters have awful coping mechanisms.
I’m glad this is shounen ai cause so many things could go really bad if the author upped the rating to r18. The author handled the trauma in a respectful way. And I like how in some cases the character handled things from behind the scene so it doesn’t unnecessarily prolong the plot.
Was hoping Cirrus’s relationship with his dad will get better in the end but I guess this story is nkt about them. I was wondering though, if the step mom still lives in that house or not.
there was only two possible scenarios i wanted: either he and his father heal together, or his father dies. neither of those happened so now i wanna kill his father and his step mother myself…
It was obvious they kept pushing this noncon/dubcon/power imbalance in their relationship since the very beginning but I was hoping the ML at least would get better, but yeah, I expected too much from BL korean.

But what ML did with their ‘first’ time was pretty fucked up too, js. I finished reading this one, still not quite a fan with most of the sex scenes, especially the earliest ones, still come off as noncon to me, I’m not forcing anyone to agree w me. but overall I like this story.
