I find the bottom’s behavior really interesting. I’m not saying he’s calculative, but even the most clueless person develops some level of adaptability over time. he tests the waters, seeing how cocky the top will let him be, and when things get tense, he tries to defuse his anger by showing vulnerability—kinda like a dog.
adaptability is survival ig

I think this story has one of the best portrayals of a protagonist's decay because, at least in my case, Phos's descent into madness didn't feel sudden. On the contrary, it felt natural. I didn't even notice when he started becoming 'crazy' because, in his position, everything he did seemed like common sense.
While reading, every action Phos took made sense to me, just as it did to him. His actions were drastic, but so were his circumstances. He was desperate.

ikrrrrr as he "descend" into madness i just thought to myself that phos is becoming more and more human- which is so real. humanity is both kind and evil. pho's altered or "ugly" appearance at that time felt so human to me and thats fine. he was born as a gem but his roots is humanity and i just love it smmm i wish they could've protected their little paradise (school) a bit longer but thats just wishful thinking :(
It's Moondae's world. We're just living in it.
