(And first off, just to be clear, for my part, I actually do support my favorite mangas / manhwas. Either way, mangago is my favorite site for the comments, though. Also, ironically, I probably wouldn't be reading and supporting this story if I hadn't seen a recommendation on this site - so things are sometimes slightly more complex than they may seem at first glance.)
I'm afraid there are far worse issues than the readers reading on sites like this one because they genuinely don't have the option to do so from the official sources, though.
In my opinion, what we also need is raised awareness about what the official platforms themselves are doing to the authors. Like the fact that for instance Lezh. actually takes 70% (!!!) of the author's money from paying readers who support them, or the fact that they charge their authors with horrendous fines (we're talking potentially thousands of usd here) for missing deadlines. Of course this is going to make it a lot harder for the authors to support themselves, and also contribute to toxic stress and constant pressure regarding the deadlines. Personally, I was absolutely appalled when I found out about this, because as a reader, it is far more important to me that a story I like maintains its quality and the author their health long-term, rather than whether some chapter comes out a few days sooner or later. And I hardly see anyone talking about this stuff at all.
