yeah its true that what you watch isn't directly a gateway into who you are, like the example you gave with murder but people who are taking interest in sexual content containing KIDS can reflect into the way they see actual children. People who constantly consume that stuff and already have urges are more prone to be leering on real children. That's what I think they mean.

Not justifying it but Murder/gore is different from exhibiting pedophilic behaviour, A shota is literally the sexual depiction of a CHILD, if you like it go see a therapist

An actual therapist would tell you that everything you enjoy in the realms of fiction is not hurtful

But the reality is that properly working adult minds understand the difference between fiction and reality, their morality and judgement isn't affected by the fiction they consume because they know what's right and wrong in real life. Childhood friends growing up and getting into a relationship is completely normal, having sex when both are able to conent is completely normal you're saying that imagining an scenario where both are adults and able to consent is pedophilic, so when the author (if it happens in the future) depicts them grown up and in a relationship by your logic that would be pedophilic and wrong and the author should go to therapy for presenting a trope of childhood friends who grow up together and end up together when they're older
