already made a long comment abt this a month or so ago that got deleted but honestly, while i dont like him very much, i think in suh is a quite realistic character and i Really appreciate that he acknowledges his wrongdoings. he knows he fucked up and that he shouldn’t have let them get to this point, but he doesn’t know if it would be better to give up now or to keep being there for sun yool - who Does depend on him, regardless of whether yall think thats a bad thing or not.
i think his initial reasoning was ”i fucked up, and the best way to make it right is to let yool decide whether or not we should still be together”, and yool couldn’t give him a clear answer. yechan obviously complicates things but i dont think it’s unreasonable to be bitter that your boyfriend ghosted you for months to hang around some guy who’s in love with him.
i definitely think the plagiarism (?) is Bad and i dont particularly like insuh, but it seems like he knows it’s bad and feels guilty about it. i genuinely don’t think his plan was to hurt sun yool as much as possible. i think he just messed up for personal reasons and it got worse because his and yool’s attempts to solve it were too different. like they discovered at that point in the relationship that yool reacts by isolating himself and internalizing everything, and insuh reacts by becoming clingy and talkative, which yool probably sees as invasive and overbearing.
to insuh, telling his boyfriend that he’s having a concert is polite and ’necessary’ (i imagine it must be weird if yool found out through someone else that insuh Hadn’t told him), and perhaps a way to initiate more conversation without directly confronting him. to sun yool, these updates are a reminder of what he can’t have, and probably adds to a building guilt over ignoring his partner and running away from his problems. it’s pressuring and stressful but i dont think that thats insuh’s intent. i think it’s just a clash in personalities that isn’t really anyone’s fault. it’s definitely in suh’s (partly, let’s not forget the dad) fault that they ended up in the situation to begin with, but i dont think he’s solely to blame for it getting worse.
i dont know if anyone actually read this monster of a comment but i find insuh’s character and the relationship between him and yool to be really interesting. not healthy, but interesting. i’ve been on both sides of this conflict. i think the author did a wonderful job of portraying this issue and im eager to read more.
also, yechan best boy. would love for insuh to get around to liking him lol.
oh god, i totally agree... i'm not the biggest fan of insuh, but i find him quite interesting. also, i can see that both insuh and yool made a lot of mistakes along the way... it's very sad but as you said, their relationship is really interesting and i can't wait to see how it will work out for them
and i would LOVE to see insuh get closer with yechan so that he could accept him as yool's partner later on... but we'll see how it is going to be :)
right!! i especially like this series Because both parties messed up. so many webtoons just have an obvious 100% evil antagonist and i appreciate the work the author put into making their fallout more realistic, in particular also bc it gives more weight to the breakup. sun yool is dependent on their relationship and letting go of it will be an important moment for him as a character.
and yes PLEASE it would be so cute to see him begrudgingly get won over and just offhandedly give them his blessings in the future.... yk like he’ll wave his hand as if it doesnt matter to him and say smth like ”you guys do whatever you want, but you owe it to me to be happy” or so. fingers crossed!
i 100% agree (๑•ㅂ•)و✧ now all we have to do is wait so I HAVE MY FINGERS CROSSED and i hope that they can become whoever they want to become WIHOUT hurting eachother (and maybe even supporting one another)
and if insuh did the "waving hand" thing....... I. WOULD. DIE. (but i would love to see yecchan's reaction) ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄
andy and martin started out kinda interesting to me bc i always like a gay awakening story, but this is so annoying..... like im sorry but ”turns out he’s actually a masochist so he likes it” is NOT justification for sexual assault!!!! sadomasochism is something both parties have to agree to BEFOREHAND! and martin doesn’t even seem to care whether or not andy likes it, so it’s not as if him being into it actually matters.....
such a shame that yaoi authors think ”making someone realize they’re gay” is synonymous with ”assaulting them”.
also @ everyone saying that you’re a prude/ virgin for disliking this trope: i know this is fiction. i think the authors are allowed to write it. but it’s an annoying ass cliché and i dont find it romantic
i dont Hate him per se but eddie feels a bit like that cliché ”rude and selfish but actually helps out at an orphanage and has some ~issues~ so it’s okay” character....
like okay i can understand that maybe he has attitude issues or so as a result of the stalker thing, but it’s not as if it’s miraculously okay for him to get away wih everything just because he’s ”secretly a good person”. like why keep it a secret??? your staff shouldn’t have to unlock your tragic backstory for you to treat them like people
the ending feels a bit sudden after such a long wait but from the author’s note ig this is the end of the first season....? not hoping for too much though. anyways i really like this one!! very sweet characters and i love the artstyle
edit: wait did nothing happen with the ex??? i thought there was gonna be more drama there
i mean i dont think so but bc youngtae didnt let him lock the store n there were closeups of the door and the love interest ’had to’ say he disliked it i kept worrying someone was gonna overhear and misunderstand it as youngtae being a rapist < :^/ hope that doesn’t happen
Fear: unlocked
I was just thinking the same thing
