I think the scientist is not a bad guy. To me, it looks like he wants to dissolve the eggs so that chicken guy is no longer hurting. He probably thought that chicken guy doesn’t want to live like a hen, that’s why he’s like trying to abort the eggs and is probably spending time in his lab to reverse the “disease”. I could be wrong tho
Judging from the previous chapters, I would assume he's using the hybrids for his personal experiments hence why he wants little A out. Also I think he's just grossed out by the hybrids and (potentially??) trying to turn them back into humans
imo his reactions of wanting to “help” seem genuine. its just that he’s going about it all in a very impersonal, controlling way that’s inadvertently harming them (at least emotionally). i agree that he’s probably disgusted by the hybrids, but at the same time feels bad for them?? like yea, he sees them as lab rats but doesn’t want them in constant suffering or on the verge of death
