In my opinion, both are correct and wrong at the same time. Luci lived all her life believing she was strong enough to protect herself and even her country. This made her decide that she wouldn't need to ask for Zed's help to gain her goals. And this is where she is wrong because they are in a relationship where they should help each other. This relationship was one she desired to have with Zed but she fails to grasp all the responsibilities that comes with being in a relationship (ex. opening up, asking for help)
On the other hand, Zed's belief and values are built similarly to the one that his empire believes—that women are weak and need protection from men. Although Zed is able to recognize the actual potential of women, the belief that he should protect them is still there. Especially for Luci because he loves her. The urge to protect her will automatically increase. His intentions are so pure that it blinds him to see that Luci also has the capability of protecting herself (mostly beacuse he doesn't know that she is actually Estelle).
NOW, I BELIEVE IT WOULD'VE BEEN SOMEWHAT BETTER IF LUCI JUST TOLD HIM THAT SHE WAS ESTELLE. I've been wondering for a while now, why she hasn't revealed herself to Zed when it should've been the first thing she did when she came to her senses and figured herself out. ALSO, DID ZED JUST DISREGARD THE FACT THAT WHEN LUCI GOT DRUNK SHE SAID IT WASN'T HER BODY ANYMORE???? HELLO?? Bro should've aksed her what she meant by that.
The amount of sadness I felt as I read through this manhwa was already hard to bear. I would've just killed myself if I was in Luci's place. I ain't that strong to be controlled by the same man who killed me in my previous life, bruh.
