Ok so this is my understanding:
She was a sickly girl reincarnated into a novel,become a princess with a short lifespan.
She was supposed to be the 'prince' that was killed but instead of her that 'prince' was just an imposter.
And her childhood friends thought that she is a boy when they were young(??????)
And they didn't recognize her as a girl(??????)
