Wow I love Seth and I love Anubis, and I really hope that they can become a family again. I cry when I think of how much Seth loves Anubis, but also when I see what their relationship has become. Seth was most definitely Osiris victim, and I feel so bad for what happened to him, but in his pain, Seth also turned a lot of people into victims as well. Hes morally pretty gray, and definitely very flawed- but I love that part of him too, because we can see his downward spiral and know what caused it as well. I don't endorse what he did, because it was awful but at the same time, I can see why he did what he did. I feel like what Osisris said snd did broke something in him. He's such a well written character, I love it!
Anubis is genuinely a good kid, who just wants his father, his family back. Hes so precious, and has been hurt a lot. Even after everything he just wants to go back to those days of happiness with his parents. I really hope Seth is able to redeem himself and everything works out. Of course the green bastard can just die in a ditch somewhere
Honestly I feel like Mafia dude and Kangjin should be together. Mafia dude may be a bad guy but he does treat Kangjin well, and he does like him. Mafia guy is terrible person, but looking only in terms of romantic relationships so far he seems to like Kangjin and treat him well.
As for Jun-
I feel really really bad for him. Was he shitty for being so cruel to Kangjin during high-school?? Yes he was, it was really really mean but Jun really isn't a bad person hes just someone with a lot of pride and in a really bad circumstance.
I dont think Kangjin was super wrong for going to Juns house because he was genuinely worried something had happend to him, and he did love him. I mean it wasn't exactly right but we can understand why he went. If my friend didn't pick up my calls or texts and then i hear their parents died i would check in on them too. Should he have asked? Yeah but Jun wasn't picking up the phone either, I would def think something horrible happened. But at the same time Juns anger at Kangjin seeing him like that is understandable- I would also feel so humiliated if my friend saw me, but what he did after is cruel, and that was because his pride couldn't take it, which is his biggest flaw.
What Kangjin did do wrong though was threaten to kill himself , even when he knew Juns mom story. That explains why Jun looked so dead eyed and done.
Its been shown that Kangjin is already suicidal and unstable, so while it was toxic, it was also expected behavior for him- still wrong though, especially to Jun.
It also says a lot about Juns feelings towards Kangjin if he could toss him away when all he did was show him pity and try to help. Remember he already gave up on him even before he tried to kill himself again. man honestly has too much pride and that's his biggest issue. After all, who would want to look pathetic in front of a person they love? Even 10 years later, he's ashamed to show up in front Kangjin.
So while Jun was cruel to Kangjin , he isn't a terrible a person. This man worked his ass of for 9 years to support his little sister and mom, he's not some devil. Hes a good guy that has some issues. But isn't everyone flawed?
Kangjin is vindicated in feeling wronged but I really don't think that he should try for revenge.
I mean think from Kangjin perspective, he loves this dude a lot, gave his whole heart on him, and believed he was loved as well, only for his heart to be crushed amd stomped on , without even being told why. And 10 years later he still can't recover the pain from back then, when he didn't really do anything to deserve it. He never even finds out why that happend so hes stuck in the past. He doesn't know the extent of Juns current misery yet. All he sees is Jun in the same state he was 9 years ago, but just without him this time- which makes him probably wonder why he did thst to him just to keep living this same life.
But I don't think he should get revenge
Jun already had horrible shit happen to him, his life is already miserable, and some of that misery is attributed to that same pride that caused him to reject Kangjin. So its like he's already getting a taste of karma, he doesn't need even more misery. So yeah. Jun does owe Kangjin and apology and explanation but I don't think he needs to suffer even more. Hopefully Kangjin decides against taking revenge and settles on talking things through so he can get closure- which is what he really needs.
I love how human these characters are, they're flawed and so compelling. I personally like both Jun and Kangjin amd I hope they get a happiness, whether that means they are together or not. ( though judging by the first chapter that might not happen)
