so as you can see in other spoilers, Hoon and Kyeongmin did it guys in Chapter 38. This results in Kyeongmin getting pregnant... in which she will be blackmailed by Jeongwon's biological mother who tried to push Jeongwon as the heir to the throne. Mind you, they're doing this without being married first... it's kind of an adultery in a sense. Kyeongmin become depressed because this would mean history change that would lead to zero chances of saving her father and she had to see ways to keep the history as it is...

Jeongwon tried to talk her out of it... in which she replied "I will protect him (Crown Prince)," in which Jeongwon assuredly replied, "Then I will protect you,'' (i CrIED ;.;)

Jeongwon would later begged an audience with the king. He then confessed that the baby was him and not his brother (when I said WHAT THE F why you have to be so selfless Jeongwon...). Kyeongmin decides to go with Jeongwon's plan because it was the one that would keep the history the same. This would make Jeongwon's mother plan backfired on her because now Jeongwon is the one who had to be punished for adultery. But then it would lead to more angst. Jeongwon's wife who had even willingly take Kyeongmin as her husband's concubine told her, "How can you stab me on the back? When you could have chosen a decision that would make everyone happy... How can you do this to me?".

Jeongwon's child, Jong who treasures Kyeongmin a lot also felt great despair. Jong had also told Kyeongmin to be his father's concubine in which at that time Kyeongmin had scorned. Jeongwon told Kyeongmin, "Why do my father had to be punished for the things you have done? Why are you taking my father away? Why didn't you just become my father's concubine like i told you to?'' (this arc really had me pushing my heart down my chest... like it hurts because i know that Jeongwon's family had even realized how precious Kyeongmin was to Jeongwon and was willing to accept that).

Jeongwon and Kyeongmin was exiled from the palace. Hoon tried to save Kyeongmin by doing reckless stuffs but was opposed by his wife, the Crown Princess, who told him that in order to save her he needs to have authority first (become the King). Jeongwon and Kyeongmin spend time exiled in the Jeju island. They were holding on and (pretending to be) happy. Everytime Kyeongmin seeks for letters from Hoon, but there was none. Jeongwon listens Kyeongmin calling out for Hoon. it was so sad you all but you need to know what happens next... during the pregnancy, Kyeongmin had complications in which she begged Jeongwon to save her child. I think that in exchange for her baby life, Kyeongmin had to let go of her sight (yes... she become blind for some time? idk... it was not explicit).

There is a panel in which it was stated that she has a stillbirth in nine months... like i can't... even.. I think that Hoon was given a message that their baby didn't make it. But i think that the baby survived and was raised as Jeongwon's child and was even doted by Jong. The season 1 ended with Crown Prince Hoon becoming king... so much angst like what... i mean this is how it always is with historical romance webtoon.. but i mean i love emotional pieces and i love pain so... :( i hope they would be happy in each of their own way. finger crossed.

so i read up to the final ep and safe to say it has an okay ending !! ╮(￣▽￣)╭
ngl the plot was soooo confusing and even though i read it in my first language (Indonesian) on LINE Webtoon, i just had so many trust issues with the translation because it wouldn't make sense.

so um chile anyways... the ml ends up with the mc after many MANY subplots and drama. the ml likes the mc since their childhood. there was a moment where the ml was super down during his childhood and mc tries to make him feel good by dressing him in a girl's clothes... because she think he was a girl (yes, you heard that right). he later on treasures that connection sm and then drama ensues (the company heir war + bounty on the girl and dad's head!!!) that makes him had to confess and try to date the mc.

the 2nd ml is the ml adopted brother who hails all the way from a mental institution in us after doing a grave mistake that affect the company. he falls in love with the mc later. and mind you this guy is a big big BIG yandere . he literally do ALL sort of things to get mc to likes him back. but he is pretty harmless... i guess? all in all, it's pretty fun but ngl the subplots is so confusing to understand. but anyway hope this helps to clear the confusion!

so i already read up to chapter 50 and there is going to be a second ml for mc? and he gave me trashta vibes idk what happened to zeroniss since he isn't mentioned up until ch 50 but finger crossed he is gonn be alrightttt

i hope there is a character development where ran begins to treasure herself more and not just living for the sake of others :((( she is such a badass character!! it will be such a wasted potential if she just lets masato treats her like that
