Man, I'm glad there's some more backstory of Claude. I'm actually worried that he'll remain to be a one dimensional character till the end despite being a popular one at that. Sure, he's handsome as hell but most of the time he did nothing. You can practically replace his character with a yellow sponge and nothing will change.

I hope the author will seriously develop his character, I really want to like him. So cheers for this little backstory.

    Yellow sponge i'm dead

I feel like the story didn't fully finish... Is there no continuation? There's too many potential to do with this plot.

Are they still teenagers? How long are they going to keep misunderstanding each other's intentions like this?

Sure, bro. People should not whine about an anime that handles morality lightly. What is wrong, what is right shouldn't be discuss. Only consume, don't question.

Rather than taking morality lightly I think It's more of understanding what is real and fiction. There are many stories in any media depicting or highlighting criminal or wrong activities but viewers don't necessarily agree it should exist in the real world. Basically it's wrong to assume just because I read it I'm fine with it actually happening, any adult should understand what is an acceptable behavior or not in the real world. (Otherwise what are the R-18 ratings even for)

Realitu disagreed. You can say that again to the copycat crimes and suicide inspired by fiction.

Your example is rather troublesome ^^" as 1. You ignored the histories or situation of the perpetrators of these copycat crimes or suicide and why they so willingly commit such acts, and 2. you seem to miss that from these examples, the only thing media does "is to tell how to do something but not tell someone to do it". Simply to speak you ignored the direct factors that leads to criminal activities or suicidal tendencies such as socioeconomic status, mental health, psychological condition, historical background, cultural context, etc.

What does it matter? The point here is fiction does influence/affect reality. Even if media is just a contributing factor, it's still capable of increasing the risk of aggression. So your defense that media isn't capable of influencing people in real life (as long as they're adults lol) is inaccurate.

    How media affect your brain?

"Other research has found that exposure to media violence can desensitize people to violence in the real world and that, for some people, watching violence in the media becomes enjoyable and does not result in the anxious arousal that would be expected from seeing such imagery."

"...the evidence strongly suggests that exposure to violent video games is a causal risk factor for increased aggressive behavior, aggressive cognition, and aggressive affect and for decreased empathy and prosocial behavior.” Anderson’s earlier research showed that playing violent video games can increase a person's aggressive thoughts, feelings and behavior both in laboratory settings and in daily life. "One major conclusion from this and other research on violent entertainment media is that content matters," says Anderson."

    (Source: https://www.apa.org/action/resources/research-in-action/protect)

Desensitization is the key here. There have been hundreds of studies that show media violence exposure lead to increase in aggression. It can alter your perception of reality. Overexposure and addiction to pornography degrades women to sexual object, (rape, murder) and can you imagine what child pornography is doing? Children in Philippine has the saddest fate I've ever seen. The rich from other countries are preying on these children for the sake of business to fill their sexual fantasies. If it doesn't have any effect on people why would the government try to ban it? There are several other representation of LGBT in fiction, people of certain races and religion in media that put the actual groups in better light in reality. Someone tweeted about this.

There's so many things around us affected by fiction and you're still here denying the power of fiction to influence reality? As long as they're adults they have the mental capability to differentiate what is right and wrong? Are we living in the same planet? Did you even read anything other than biased info that confirm your belief? The problem is the first degree murder are done by adults and not children. Hit me up if you wanna read an essay on how overexposure to pornography changes your brain and behaviour. Because what we're seeing in this manga is painfully just a child porn with cherry on top.

ame March 3, 2020 1:19 pm

I don't how to make sense of this story. Just like other people mention, it's just a jumble of meaningless dialogues. Such a waste of panels.

ame February 11, 2020 2:27 pm

Again, I'm getting older after each update. Btw what're they actually searching for? I can't remember the plot

    akleepart February 11, 2020 4:09 pm

A person. Of sorts. I think.
