This series is not my fave as there are a lot of reference from Crows Zero. How each of them plays role from the characters in there. It's not very original to me and there are some scenes that I find cringeworthy.
But I would like to know about that black-haired freshman with piercings. He looks cool in an interesting way. Just don't disappoint me sensei.

I click this by mistake. It's weird how people can read this...

It's weird how you can pass judgment on people for liking stuff you don't.
But seriously, some people like this sort of thing and others don't, no need to make others feel inferior just because you don't like it. There are a lot of different manga genre I don't like and even hate, and you know what I do about it? I avoid them and don't post passive aggressive comments because the people reading and enjoying said manga clearly have different taste than my own.

If they keep doing this without a safe word, someone's going to die soon.
We know there have been many death cases involving bdsm. This is just how serious this shit is.

Right? I think they minimised the toll that all those restraints would have on the character, let alone all the other shit he had done to him which even if it is "consensual" is still physical violence. The dominant character just went from 0-100 at their first meeting and hasn't showed much consideration since.

Also it's worth considering why in some countries such activities like the ones shown would be viewed as illegal. For example, people cannot consent to actual bodily harm. The character here, has had at least 5 years of essentially being physically assaulted, so regardless of the legal definition his body is still being subjected to some pretty severe restraints and beatings which are going to take their toll. And yes, people getting permanently injured or dying is hardly unknown.

I think the criticism is that the story doesn't have much depth or character development. It's not the topic of BDSM which is drawing the more critical comments, but it's portrayal just seems to be on a "smut" level rather than using the opportunity to explain their relationship outside that "room" (think it's just known as the room, ha), their motivations, the after care yada yada.
Dear humans, you're so quick to judge before. And when there are people who backed up Alex, you called them hypocrites and etc. "As long as he has good look, you don't mind his asshole attitude toward DG blah2"
Now there's Alex side of story, you sympathize him. You foolish mortals.
I love Alex, I'm not a bad person because I love him!
I've always liked Jiwon. I knew he's an asshole...his looks have nothing to do with it (well, to me). I just wanted to know why he behaved that way and learn more about him.
