There is a story about twins that I read but I forgot the name. There is a story about the younger twin and the older one. I remember it starts with the younger twin getting mistaken in the shower for his older twin brother. Then he encounters a tenant below his apartment who is older than him and they end up becoming close as the younger twin kept visiting his place. I also remember a part where the older guy bought an ice machine to make shaved ice for the younger twin (I hope this part rings a bell). The older brother's story is when he meets a guy that unknowingly becomes his lover from a one night stand. The younger twin sees him and gives him his support for being a good guy and tells him to stay with his brother. I remember bits and pieces but this is all I came up with this time.
I remember reading this one one-shot that was incest. There were two brothers already in a relationship and when they had sex the younger brother (also the seme) put this tube-like thing on the tip of his dick and put the other end in his brother's Dick when he fell asleep. The seme really wanted to put his sperm inside the uke's dick and I think he kind of did. There was also a colleague that noticed their relationship but I forgot what else happened. I hope this isn't too vague. I read it on MyReadingManga a few years back.
I'm curious as to why people love Ten Count so much. Don't get me wrong I don't hate it, in fact I kept up with it since it was first released, but for some reason I feel that it is too hyped. I love Rhito sensei's works (Hana no Mizu Shiru my personal fav) but I feel that Ten Count is overshadowing other amazing bl mangas that are in my opinion, way better. I ask this because I've been on lots of anime merchandise online websites and found only Ten Count items being sold and I get shook because I want there to be more yaoi merchandise that isn't Ten Count especially since it has a large fan base. I'm also Ignoring the 6 Lovers special items that are also being produced... Overall, I just want to see why so many bl manga enthusiasts love Ten Count so much. Keep in mind these are just OPINIONS and online arguing about which manga is good or not can be kept to yourself.
7 days influency
I think the reason it got so popular is because it has a more unique plot
Not gonna lie I actually lost all interest in the series when it actually turned into a yaoi as it just felt uncomfortable with trying to fix him with sex despite knowing his phobia and the uke who I liked was changed to be more meek and all that
The sexual stuff was hot but I completely lost all interest once it actually happended
Huh, I haven't seen much Ten Count since it ended. Feels weird hearing the name mentioned again. XD
One of the reasons it may be so popular is the number of chapters it had. Yaoi manga with a lot of chapters tend to get some more attention, due to them appearing on the "New chapters list" more often than a manga with let's say only 5 chapters. Along with yaoi manga that gets animated.
Of course, there are probably more reasons, but I can't put my finger on it. But in others words, I think Ten Count just gets advertised more.
well i think the reason is:Mysophobia
The manga was balanced(not too many sex scenes) and had an interesting plot. okay im not gonna say that it was the best but the fact that the protagonist couldnt stand being touched made the things fascinating. For example, we got that scene when the seme took off uke's glove and licked his fingers' in another manga this would seem normal and nbdy would overthink it, but with us knowing that the uke has this certain problem the scene changed entirely into something more erotic and triggering....so i think the main reason that many people enjoy this manga is that the author manages to bring the hidden lust of the characters without them having any intercourse...(well they do have after but anyway)
I personally love Ten Count because it was my first yaoi.
But I definitely understand where your coming from seeing as I was new to the yaoi fandom when this happened I'm not too familiar with this drama but a recent example that I can think of is Killing Stalking cause of its extreme popularity I often see yaoi or bl of the same kind of genre being compared to KS for example I've seen some people comparing Harada's work to killing stalking and such
Definitely that.
I wonder as well, I, personally, have never been the biggest fan Rhito's storytelling (I liked 7 Days but it had another author attached to it) and the "sex can (not) cure your psychological pathology" thing was indeed awkward.
When you look at the sales Ten Count is a juggernaut, compared to other BL, with a launching printing around 300 000 copies for the most recent volumes....
I think having the publisher push you towards success also helps, Ten Count was prepublished in Dear+, on of the bigger prepublishing magazine for BL... and publishers can't afford spending to much money and effort on promoting all of their series. They only need one ultra popular series to sell a magazine. If the publishing company is making merchandise for only Ten Count, well, of course Ten Count's popularity will increase even more compared to other series ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Btw, I've been to an animate store in Asia recently and judging from their choice in merchandise it seems that Scarlett Beriko's Jealousy might become the next big thing (granted it lasts long enough to really take off), another series from Dear +...
I ask that about all mainstream yaoi mangas is not just ten count btw is not like i say other mangas deserve that popularity is not like that but also it depends in the fans of the mangaka that they manly follow her work also for exmaple yoneda kou and nekota sensei have a big fanbase that not just read their mangas but also buy their merchandise and read their mangas regardless what is it about.
Art: 5/5
Plot: 4/5
Sex: 4/5
Overall: 4.3/5.
Not too complicated. Good mix of conflict/drama. Characters each have their own personalities. Their relationship is interesting. Why not hype it? It's got the components of a good manga (imo).
I feel the same too and I personally love one of her works, Graineliers. I don't hate Ten Count, but I do feel that there are much more interesting plot out there which are not standing out as much as Ten Count. Ten count was too hyped that I did not get that much of Ten Count merchandises, instead went around looking for other yaoi merchandises though it doesn't seem like a lot of BL fans are interested in the other yaoi merchandises and would prefer Ten Count...
Anyone know if the Warui series by Sakuraga Mei is still ongoing? I haven't read the manga for a couple of years after the 12th volume and was just wondering if it's still being serialized.

Read the summery!
There's recently a manga about Nanao's cousin (Masato), you should be able to find it here
There is a yaoi Manga where the uke's lover is a playboy and is always having affairs. The uke tolerates it because he is in love with the seme. The seme takes advantage of the uke's dedication towards him by making him do things for him, such as picking him up from a bar when he's drunk or something. Then a love rival shows up making the uke's feelings waver as the rival notices the uke's hesitation staying with the seme. The uke eventually gets together with the love rival (who dyes his hair and turns him into a different looking person) leaving the seme behind where he practically becomes useless without the uke around. The seme realizes that the uke didn't really need him, but he needed the uke so he ran after the uke understanding the importance of losing a person you love. The love rival genuinely loves the uke, but the uke still couldn't get over his love for the seme, so when the seme urged the uke to come back to him he did. It ends with the seme picking up the uke from a get together with his friends and wondering how long he will be devoted to the uke, but is fine with cherishing that moment of happiness as a changed man in his life. Phew long summary. I know the story as one can tell, but I forgot the name.
I remember reading a yaoi Manga that had a cowardly uke and asshole of a seme. It starts off with the seme wanting to break up with the uke because he was tired of him, so the uke took a pot or plant (something) and hit him with it only to end up giving him amnesia. Once the seme wakes up the uke tells him he is his lover as a way to tie the seme down to him since he is pretty obsessed with him. Dumb drama happens and the seme becomes suspicious of the uke because his memory is slowly coming back to him and even though they are a couple the seme runs away from the uke only to spend the time away from him with a woman. The uke cries for the seme once he returns to tell the uke something (vaguely remember parts) and then reveals to the uke that he got his memory back and they do it cause yaoi logic. I forgot what happens after but they still end up together (felt bad for the uke). That's all I remember so if anyone knows or somehow understands my dumb summary of the story that'd be great.
Sorry Idk but I'm following
I forgot the name of this one BL one shot. The seme always expresses his love to the uke but the uke is an asshole to him. The seme begins to look at a different character in his class and starts spending more time with them and the uke starts noticing how the seme is falling out of love with him. When the uke goes to their apartment he finds the seme about to kiss the other character he was interested in and the uke realizes he was taking the semes love for granted (I think he apologized and cried?). The seme says seeing him cry like that brings back his feelings and they mend their relationship again. That's pretty much the story. It's a pretty spicy read for a one shot
Ff. I wanna know too.
YES IT'S THIS ONE THANK YOU!! For some reason I thought Ike Reibun made it and I was looking through all her works again and couldn't find anything and now I know why xD
