guys if youre so desperate for your ship to become canon, go read some dj's cause its not going to happen and we all know that.
this is a shounen manga and not a yaoi or a shounen ai so dont get your hopes up
there are people who actually enjoy this manga for its story and plot and not just their ships.
Actually the DJ's are there because people ship those characters! Who's gonna read DJ's about those two characters if they don't wanna ship them anyway.
It won't sell to the public if don't see comments of ships.
And of course people are aware that it not gonna happen. But we're free to ship who we want.
If people can ship straight couples then can also go for gay ships. In spite knowing most of them never sails even straight couples in spite being it shoujo.
Besides even shoujo has their bromance moments, making people want to ship them because of it. Heck even Naruto accidentally kissed Sasuke (Though I don't ship them LOL)
If bothered by the comments about ships, just ignore them.
If the only reason people are reading this is for the ship, then they have better luck just reading djs. I believe that was the point OP was trying to make.
Why would someone who is solely reading it for the ship continue reading it if they know their ship won't be canon? Then continue to bitch and whine about it not being a bl when they started reading it knowing very well it's not.
If it's just comments about shipping the characters and enjoying their moments, that's great. If it's people wishing there's more moments between the characters, great. However, that is not the case. I've seen people shitting on the story simply because their ship isn't sailing. There's also the people annoyed at the lack of progression in the story and that's fine, but to hate a whole damn story just because of a ship? Just go and read djs instead, please.

Just so you know even some mangaka creates their own DJ. Creating a story they wanted to tell that was not allowed for their editors and publishers.
Even Black Butler was meant to be yaoi at the start, but it was changed to be just shounen due to it being serialized in a shounen magazine and not BL magazine. (I'm actually glad this wasn't made yaoi. Don't want it to turn into shotacon)
And then we have a originally Shounen Ai webtoon. Due to lots of readers request the author has decided to give her readers their wish to have S2 be tured Yaoi instead.
So if they can change a Yaoi to become Shounen and Shounen Ai to become yaoi, then why can't we have this to have a BL version too?
Authors themselves gives hints of BL or bromance just for service too. And they won't be canon ever. JUST LIKE THIS ONE THAT SCREAMS TO BE BL YET STAYS SHOUJO UP TO THE VERY END! (Not even put to be shounen ai):

i also have a lot of ships like mikayuu and gurenshin,.. but i know they wont become canon, thats why i read ONS for its story and not the ships.
i think i was just really bothered that people were commenting on the ONS-series to become a BL because i was so worried that the authors would actually make it a BL, which will totally ruin the whole series. and afcourse i dont want that to happen because ONS has been my no.1 fave series ever since it came out.

For your information, your no better than people who are only here for the ship then. How come a ship not becoming canon can ruin a story or the other way around. Unless the romance is heavily intertwined with the plot, I don't see how it could ruin anything.

What I said had nothing to do with whether the ship is hetero or not. People are not forbidden to dream, I myself am a mikayuu shipper as I had said before.
I have the same feeling towards people pushing for romance in any type of story. Yes, this includes people pushing for hetero romance in action stories.
I stopped watching kyoukai no rinne because I didn't like the shift in focus to romance. I watched it for the storyline they had, but then they later focused on the romance, I didn't like that so I stopped watching.
On the other hand, if someone starts reading something for the ship and the ship won't be canon, then they should just read djs.
I didn't finish blood lad because I shipped the main guy with Hydra Bell which obviously wouldn't be canon, and the story wasn't enough to keep me interested.
I'm not interested in continuing Tokyo Ghoul because I shipped Kaneki Ken with Hide, so what do I do now? No, I'm not going to be one of those people who burns their Tokyo Ghoul merch, neither am I going to sit here and bitch and whine. I entered it knowing full well Kaneki x Hide wouldn't be canon, so I accepted it. The storyline is okay but it's not one of my favourites so I won't continue the series. Whenever I want to see the ships, I'll read djs, fanfics, look at fanarts etc.
Of course authors can change stories in favour of the viewers, but ultimately the story is the author's. I think that's a great thing about stories. The author writes it how they want it, and viewers can rewrite it to it satisfy themselves. That's the whole reason fanfics exist.
Again, my problem is not with shipping the characters. I thought I had made this clear in my earlier response. The issue I have is with people shitting on the story simply for the ships. If you hate the rest of the story and are ONLY here for the ship, then just read djs because that's where they'll get ONLY the ship. Here, you will find a storyline aside from JUST the ship. So if you don't want to see the storyline aside from the ship, then read djs where you will get JUST the ship.

If you start watching a horror movie for romance but find out later on there's no romantic development, don't bitch and whine about it, go read fanfics.
If you start watching a romance for gore, first of all what the fuck. Secondly, go look at gore fanart with those characters instead.
