I really loved the main story and I'm not totally against a sequel with the kids but the chapters are really too short. And even if I love the extra with QuCheng and the babies, I'd rather see the kids' story progressing. It's so frustrating ! Maybe it could have been an independant story...

I already read another work from the author (Links) and I like how she describe the complexity of life. Feelings and emotions aren’t all white nor all black. Sometimes, they are more complex and hard to deal with and the author manage to picture this perfectly.

This is frustrating because even if this manga is tagged finishedIn fact , the story isn’t in the novel. There is more drama. In the novel, even after SongBaiLo confession there is some time before they really clearing all misunderstanding and more drama to allow NingYu to open his heart.
In the novel, the tatoo episode is just the beginning of another kind of story between the two, more romantic and familial.

In the novel, you can face lot of drama (maybe too much) but you can see a real redemption about GuYangshen and it takes a certain time before Nian Nian accept him again. And reading the novel even if you know GuYangshen past behaviour, little by little you agree about the two getting together again.
But for the manga there are too much differences with the novel and that really disturb me. For example, in the novel Qin Qibai is not so horrid he’s just a big a jerk. The real great villain is ShenLuoan who lured GuYangshen and continuisly hurt NianNian juste because he was jealous and greedy.
I want to ask in the novel does the ending is like mahwa ? Like no clear acceptance from nian nian side to gu shengfeng?? Or is it different please tell us what was the ending in novel
It’s very different. In the novel, there are multiples plots. More drama (too much).
It would be too long to explain all but GuYangChen really made amend and had a hard time before NianNian trust him again and open his heart to him. They reconcile and married again. NianNian is very happy and cured of all his past trauma. GuYangShen really changed and is totally devoted to NianNian and love him sincerely and wholheartedly.

I’m sorry I can’t remember what chapter, there were too many differences between the novel and the manga. For example, the necklace. In the manga it is treated like something minor though in the novel it is avery major item, very important for NianNian.
I think the manga starts to be different from the novel after GuYangshen discovers that ShenLuoan is a liar about being the one saving him and discovering NianNian is his real savior. I’m not sure...

I’m like most of people that believe Hugo is in love with Theo but what if they don’t. I mean what if they’re just childhood friends... What if Beryl meet a kind and gentle Hugo ? Even if he’s still attached to his lost bond the contrast between the two could bring misunderstanding or angst...
Well, that is a spoiler, but later Shaia will confess that he accepted the deal with his grandfather because he want his brother be happy with his beloved (yes, Hugo and Theo are a couple). So he is taking the bullet for his family.

Shaia is a bit weird but he loves his family, so in order to make his grandfather (that annoying old man who is still alive) look to other way, he is willing to accept the arrange marriage. All because Hugo choose Theo, and Theo is a beta so hey can't produce a heir.
