It's more of a 3.8 than a 4, but whatever. This is kind of a rant, and it does contain some spoilers, so if you don't want to read it all, just skip to the TLDR section at the end. So

My biggest pet peeve was characters getting introduced once and then dissapearing. The FL's brother, was senn like 2 or 3 times, never to be mentioned again. The girl who was trying to flirt with the ML at the opera, as well as the girl the empress sent to do the same thing, mentioned once and never seen again. The prospect wife of the 2nd prince, mentioned once and never seen again, and when she was introduced it was explicitly said that she was from a powerful family, and could've helped them in later issues where they needed powerful friends. The original girl who was isekai'd only mentioned literally once, just to say how she died. The person who said to her during their trip to the enemy family that she didn't belong in this world, could've made a whole ass interesting plot but no, was seen just that 1 time. The empress, as soon as her arch ended, dissapeared, as well as the 2nd prince, only to be mentioned at the very end of the story. An actual OP magician who was the ML's master or tutor I dont remember, helped twice and proved himself to be extremely helpful and powerful, but was just seen those 2 times, like????? Why bother even introducing characters at all??? But I'm gonna attribute all that to the novel.
Okay now 1 thing I did like, the art style. It never declined and I love the artist for that. Usually manwhas start beautifully but the art steadily gets worse until it looks like every other manwha, but this artist delivered until the end, love them for that.
Another thing I didn't like (not as badly as I didn't like the first thing I said) was that at one point, the FL's brain cells dipped. After that complete stranger in a cloack that only appeard to say that she didn't belong in this world did this, she did become kind of dumb. You may be wondering, why does it bother me so much? Well the thing is, she never worried about this before. Like miss gurl, the plot has changed so much, and only NOW you're worried about people getting hurt because you don't belong. But the funny thing is after the ML's "coaxing" words, she never metions it, or worries about it again. No resolution, no dreams whit the OG!FL, no sudden realization. Just nothing, and everything goes on as if it never happened. Fortunately though, she did seem to recover those brain cells after this arch was done.
Back to the possitive track, the characters are beautifully drawn, like damn, everyone, villains included, where SO HOT. And I have to say it, the Empress and Gracie, GAY AF FOR BOTH OF THEM. Specially the Empress, miss ma'am, your husband ain't shit but me, I might be broke, but I'm loyal.
Last negative take, the plot is all over the place. Like yea it's lineal, but that line is like a roallercoaster, up and down, loops and zig-zags, jeeez. Unnecesary love interests, like Ricardo and Oscar, they were perfectly fine without being added as MOMENTARY love interests. And by momentary I mean in a flash momentary. It's over in 5 chapters or less. That last arch about the ring and the emperor and choosing the best out of the 2, was completly unnecessary. You may wonder, but how were they supposed to give a conclussion to Ricardo and Oscar? Literally by simply crowning the ML and having him make an investigation, thats it. It could've been solved like that. But whatevs, once again I can only blame the novel not the manwha. Also what's up with changing the name in the middle lol?

TLDR; it's a good, funny and romantic manwha, that will keep you entretained through most of it, it becomes a bit dull at the end, and there are some incongruencies that are bothersome if you think about them too much, but who takes isekais seriously, honestly. If this was the novel I would rate it 1.5/5, but since it isn't, it's a solid 4. Wouldn't read it again voluntarily but it was fun.

Allow me to say, this has comedic undertones but it is NOT comedy, okay? You will cry, you will suffer and at the end of the day you'll end up loving this manhua. The characters suffer a lot, like literally everyone suffers, imagine game of thrones chinese historical BL version, and that's this novel in a nutshell. If you're up for it, read the novel, the chapters are fairly short and if you're a fast reader you'll be able to finish it in a day. It's so gorgeous honestly, and I can't wait for the main story to finish because the extras are so amazing, they're the dose of fluff and sugar that is much needed after the punch in the gut that is this novel. It should have tragedy in the tags, but I don't know why it doesn't.
Anyways, READ IT READ IT READ IT YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!!

Is that it? Not even a side story?
The ending was definitely rushed, and perhaps because of the translation it didn't make much sense, but this is most certainly one of my favorite couples ever. Yunifer really is a strong female lead, empowered, sure of herself, with unshakeable convictions and I belive Ysid truly was well portrayed as someone with childhood traume, specifically of children who were neglected and the way they belive that anything remotely good that happens to them will be taken away in time. Loved the side characters, except for the crown prince for which I have a love-hate feeling towards, and the bird companion is the best of them all.
It's a good read if you want a funny, romantic, have-nothing-to-read, slightly (very slightly) angsty manwha.
Wish there were more scenes about her and her dad, or maybe a resolution of some of the side characters like the OG FL, or the blond who appeared for like 7 chapters in total. Wouldn't read again, but it was good read.
