I've been craving some BL with great story writing or pull-me-in plots type Manga/Manhwa/Manhua. Something more than just breaching the surface plots of meeting, falling in love (sometimes sex), and then the end with little development. I enjoy those as well but at the moment I want more in the story. I also do not mind whether it's Yoai or Shounen Ai, or how long the story is, it could be 5 chapters or over 100 chapters. I love all genres from fantasy, action, adventure, historical, comedy, mystery, crime, etc
I'll list some examples of stories I have read with something more in-depth to the story.
- Hidamari ga Kikoeru (Absolute favourite!! 10/10 the perfect romance, reading for the 100th time) - Lonely To Organdy (Sad but beautiful story, also lovely character growth) - Ame to Kiss (Adorable story and the relationship here was so healthy) - Blood Bank (A lot more sex lol. But the world-building was great and the plot as it developed had me hooked) - Not for the Faint of Heart (It had something I liked, fun to read) - CASTLE MANGO (A personal favourite) - Renchin! (Loved this romance, it was divine) - The Priest's Chart (I love a historical fantasy) - Hanakoi Tsurane (A plot that was more in-depth than I thought and I love it) - Jackass! - Sawatte Ii tte Dare ga Itta yo? (It was funny and also very sexy! But also good character growth)
-When it comes to character development, the first work that comes to mind is Hidoku Shinaide. If you haven't read itm give it a try, the beginning is cliché but the development is exceptional. - Hate Mate (unforgettable plot and vibe) - Hatsukoi Wa Gunjou Ni Tokeru (It's lovely and it's by the same mangaka that made "Tamayura" and "goodbye lilac", I love this mangaka's work. - Stigmata - Seikon Sousa and its sequel Stigmata-Aikon (Incredibly creative and unique, these two masterpieces need more love!) - Kimi ni Ienai Koto ga Aru (this is a very sincere work, the feelings are handled delicately, I love this particular manga) - Usagi no Mori (it's so good! But the updates are slooow so be warned) - The beast must die (pretty unique plot. Totally bittersweet too) - Shutline (I usually avoid mainstream or trendy stuff cuz most of the time, it's just smut, but this one has a pretty distinctive vibe. I like the mood at the mechanics garage and the way they talk about cars...I don't know, but I actually like this one)
