the more i read their backstory, the more i'm hating the fl for trying to separate them. yes, they're kinda codependant BUT SEPARATING THEM IS WORSE. the fl is not fit to deal with whatever issues yeonwoo has, and his best friend is literally the only person that knows the whole truth like?? just because you're the gf (and a shitty one at that, because the way yeonwoo is also so dependant on her and her approval to the point where his self steem is constantly at play while she does the bare minimum instead of having rejected him if she didn't know how to be a good partner at all) doesn't mean you can destroy the safety net yeonwoo has.
while the bsf and yeonwoo do have issues in their codependency (such as the bsf overprotectiveness, which is a fair response), there is this thing called communication!! they don't have to cut their friendship cold turkey, the gf could have shared her concerns instead of going behind his back. idk man, yeonwoo losing his friend AGAIN because of his gf... like, throw the whole gf away please.
I don’t think high schoolers who got themselves in this codependent relationship have the tools and the emotional maturity to “communicate,” through codependency. They actually need therapy, it’s hard for fully grown adults to move on from codependency on their own, most need therapy, I don’t expect two kids to be able to do it. And he can’t keep that secret to himself, it is killing them both and it is so heavy. Yeonwoo needs to be able to tell his parents or a trusted adult and he desperately needs to get therapy, they both do. This is out of the bandwith of all of these kids

i completely agree. the only reason i didn't mention it is because with yeonwoo's reluctance to tell anyone, he ain't going to a therapist any time soon sadly. and more than communicate thru codependency and setting boundaries (which is a whole can of worms they have not opened yet) it's the way the gf went behind his back to break a friendship instead of talking to yeonwoo first.
You have to be in your teens to be thinking like this.
Acting like Haesol is this big bad that’s intent on destroying their friendship is funny asl.
She cares about both Yeonwoo and Junhyuk. If she didn’t, then she wouldn’t have pointed out to Junhyuk that both him and Yeonwoo were unintentionally harming each other.
Sometimes it takes an outsider to point things out to you before you start to see the issues yourself. Similar to what happens in abusive relationships - when the victim doesn’t realize that they’re being abused until a friend points it out to them.
Acting like she’s just out to “separate them” as if she’s some jealous girlfriend is extremely disingenuous. It’s obvious that she wants to help them, and even Junhyuk knows that.
Problem is, Yeonwoo is rejecting help at every turn. And while it is understandable, if he was more open to receiving help, then Junhyuk would not have had to walk away for sake of his own mental health.
Haesol isn't this big bad who's going to destroy their friendship she's friends with both of them.
And as both of their friends she understands that their relationship is not healthy also she has no idea what Yeonwoo has gone through because he hasn't told her anything.
The only reason Junhyuk even found out about what happened to Yeonwoo is because he saw the pictures. if he not see those pictures he would not have known what happened to Yeonwoo because Yeonwoo would not have even told him.
There is no way you read everything that has happened so far and that is your conclusion that Haesol is this evil girlfriend who is trying to break up their friendship. She is friends with both of them and she understands that what they have going on is not healthy so she's trying to help.
Also she's traumatized and has no idea how to cater to him because of her lack of emotional awareness. And let's not forget that Yeonwoo does not talk to her. They have faults on both sides. Yeonwoo refuses to talk to anybody about what happened to him. Even though Junhyuk knows what happened whenever the inkling of middle school being brought up comes along he deflects immediately.
Even with Junhyuk, Yeonwoo is not going to talk about what happened in Middle School with anybody.
Before making a take like that read what you're consuming.
Thank you so much I was reading that and I was like there is no way that you read everything that has happened so far and that is what you came up with.
It's so clear that they all care about each other but at the end of the day they are teenagers who don't understand certain things. It's honestly 100% understandable that this would eventually happen because their relationship is not healthy whatsoever.
the fact that Haesol pointing out the fact that their relationship is unhealthy is what makes this person villainize her is just suspicious.
the author draws them the same as the main story, if they were not in a college classroom it would be fully believable for it to be a month after the last chapter fr
