This is just a hunch but i feel like were near the the changing point of the story. With this news Jaekhyung will definitely lash out on dan and might even fire him ultimately cutting dan’s grandmas expenses that could lead to her death. We all know that the grandmas death is coming and is the only variable for dan to ultimately hate jaekhyung.
With Mingwa’s previous works they highlighted that there should be some sort of reason for the ml to be that bad or some sort of backstory. Which in this case we know jaekhyung doesn’t have that he’s really just an asshole. With that his repentance would not be that he has a trauma but he will experience losing for the first time and continuously at that. Mingwa might also push for jaekhyungs injury till he fall at his lowest.
I’m not sure if dan will be doing well at that time because mingwa doesnt really make the mc’s some sort of change in character or being a badass in terms that’s not really mingwas style but yeah as of know that’s the hunch
Jekjek is drunk and seems to be not fully aware while Dan is sober af. Dan knew that jekjek isn’t sober and will do as instructed so dan took advantage of that.
