Just a theory but I did get the impression the little brother used to look out for Miyabi in the flashback... Maybe I'm tripping but it gave me the idea that he did the act to knowing the trashy parents will prioritize himself (lil bro) over Miyabi so when the later lead the other with his heat the parents kicked Miyabi out. Idk maybe I'm just imagining it...
