I haven't seen a collective rage like this in a long time and I agree with it. The author dropped the ball here. Instead of setting up character growth and an opportunity for conversation, Mi-Ok just seems dumb. I get that it's not supposed to be that she has an issue with homosexuality, but fears being different. I get that. The problem is, that is the root of all nonsense we deal with. If she set up dating profiles for Beom because his "girlfriend" wasn't Korean, she would be called racist (prejudice). So yeah. She's an idiot. I haven't felt this salty buying a chapter in a long while but I'm more bothered the author thought this was a good idea.

I try to keep in mind that asian culture is about conformity and that in Korea it is very important not to stand out, so I get that she feels very strongly about it, and does have a valid point. I think this is what the author was trying to highlight here.
But at the same time, Mi-Ok gurl, go to therapy or something instead of making this whole drama about yourself

She's absolutely wrong in giving out his info setting him up on dating sites and stuff, but she's not a villain. This story doesn't make the characters who cause a wrinkle for them monsters. She's definitely wrong but the genuine hate and vitriol isn't warranted. Compared to characters like her in other stories, she's barely an inconvenience

I agree! Whie in other stories this would be the set-up for a villain, I feel like here it's a premise for lessons to be learned. So even though I don't like what she did at all, I do look forward to how it is handled in a way that she can also grow from without being demonized for her current ignorance.

I don't think that hate and Vitriol are warranted but people come from a place of "what would I feel of this was happening in real life". In real life, she wouldn't be barely an invenience. She might put a wedge between them and cause major issues. Also, she might be the type to "spread the news without necessarily any malicious intent behind it" because she might ask another adult for advice and expose something that wasn't hers to expose.
Bottom line is, she is so annoying in this story in my opinion and if she were doing this as a real person she would be a hateful bitch.

That real life person people are imagining isn't her though. And not all people in real life would take it that far either. She might be someone who would need to leave the country to stay alive after the stunts she pulled, or she might be someone who sees the error of her ways after a single conversation.
I get that some people are just using her character to vent emotions and frustrations. Fine. I'm not a fan of her either. I just hope they aren't this quick to judge and condemn in real life. Good people do bad things and bad people do good things.

I hope so too but honestly, while I don't judge people when it concerns themselves (who they are with, where they work, what they spend their money on, what they wear, etc.) But the second that person thinks they know better and act on someone else's behalf without consulting them, I'm judging real hard

This creator has r@pe in all of their stories

I’m glad they keep it in fantasies and on paper at least…
This author’s preferences specifically scare me LOL
I do think they’re a good person with normal morals irl, (otherwise they’d be doing that shit not spending all the time drawing as an outlet), but damn are there preferences loud and proud in all of their work.

Haebom's inner self getting comforted.... Haebom eating Ho's bad cooking.... Ho being petty with his jealousy.... How is it that even their "fighting" is wholesome beyond words. Their story heals my soul. Now this chick, I got some choice words for her. But if this is the angst we're getting in the story, I'll take it. Most BLs go way darker than this. I'm not excusing her at all. Just acknowledging she's next in the line of misunderstandings (the dead chicken guy, the father with the letter he couldn't read, the little boy, even Ho and Haebom....)
I shouldn't have read those spoilers.... I might not come back for season 2.

At least in Beyond The Memories, the ML has dedicated his life to making the MC's life better. I know it's the reverse because Kwon Ido has the memories while in this one, it's Ferrance, but it doesn't make a good or enjoyable story to see the MC victimized by the ML again regardless of the misunderstandings. I would wait up to buy each chapter as it dropped but now..... idk
