Honestly I don’t see them parting at all. Afterall, I believe even if the mc dies, he’ll be able to be with ml in the afterlife. That’s what ml said, saying he’d previously bring the mc with him. He only changed his mind cause mc may be scared
but that will be so bittersweet "afterlife" i guess we can't have it in any other way since it is a love shared between a mortal and immortal.
