Yes, he did misunderstood. I think it is bc MC never revealed his background. He is the son of a famous director ot seems. He grew up with money and he is continuing to live that lifestye. However no actor who isn't big enough gets that kind of money. Do the rumors that he is getting sponsored spread. I think someone saw him with his dad and also spread the rumor that he is getting sponsored by a famous director or something. Add to that he saved his father's contact as director somehing, so when his father calls he has to run away so people can't hear their convo and it seems sus to other people.

LOL YEA, beacuse no one know that the CEO is the mc's father PLUS it is fact thta his acting skills is so bad but he still get decent roles, so the rumours are getting around about him.

The ML decided he will be the MC's sugar daddy instead of the CEO. SO, the current situation is like this. ML still thinks he is MC's sugar daddy, but the MC kinda thinks he IS the boyfriend plus somewhat jokingly (not seriously like how ML really though the is the sugar daddy) the sugar daddy because he once asked his father to give so muh money to shut the ML's father and stepmother.
