The way they depicts things that may happen in real life to someone felt so real. Even though it is the most ideal for the mother to not neglect her son to her abusive husband, that is not the case for everyone. Life is not perfect and we cannot expect everyone to have the same values as us and the same thought process to react to conflict. It is frustrating for us readers to see her decision and this just shows the author nailed at this. This doesn’t happen with just inwoo and his mom. All the other characters, their life situation and their conflicts were well written. This manhwa is really a slice of life, not too sugarcoated like most manhwas I’ve read. It’s novel in my eyes

I was kinda okay with this one cause the crown prince at least got him ready, gently guiding and lubricate the rear orifice (new vocab i discovered lol) before the deed. Though he left him dying alone like a fish, he went back to the chamber and check on him. Far better than most historical men in this site. And the art is pretty too! The princess is ssssoooo cute and dainty, with his lashes and flushed cheecks omg i love him so much already. But the crown prince look a lot like bold glamor filter on tiktok and the queen never cry mommy lol he has no facial muscles i guess. All of his expression looks the same unlike the princess. Nevertheless, i will keep on waiting for updates cause i like the art so much
