If I remmber, Hatsukoi no Kaeru Shima is just that but whitout the band plot. There are also a band related series by Janome, i think the first story of a trilogy is getting an anime adaptation, but i might be wrong. But you can also check out Hakase and Suzumaru Minta works both authors have a lot of wholesome stories. All of them are pretty popular so you might stumbled on it before
