“Fin.”
HAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA dang.
You know when you got a bag of candy and you eat one piece after the other so delightfully that you don’t even realize how much you ate?
That’s basically me when I just realized we’re already at almost episode fifty!!!!!
Omg this literally tore my heart open... the cry... no...
That tho do be showing that peeps who have certain fantasies don’t have to feel comfortable with them happening IRL
I was all good and dandy till he the dad’s black hair comment—
The tears bro Q-Q
WE NEED MORE PEOPLE COMPLIMENTING OUR BABY’S CUTE DOGGO FORM LIKE I CAN’T
The how to train your dragon meme couldn’t explain more how it feels hahaha
Why it feels like it escalated so fast from “I hate you” to “wanna have sex?”
1- “I hate you”
They never said they hated each other, it just felt like they might because of the hostility. And then author showed in previous chapters that squirrel has always been at the very least physically attracted to pitcher (often hinted at however that he might have liked him till now but that’s way more implicit)
Author still isn’t show any thoughts regarding what Pitcher thinks of Squirrel except unusual curiosity (and lowkey admiration, but he’s also prideful af so it’s showing up in tsundere manners). It’s a good thing though coz it makes their relationship more confusing and ambiguous to us.
2- “wanna have sex?”
As I said before, squirrel explicitly showed in the story to be physically attracted to pitcher so whatever
Now pitcher
A lot of people didn’t understand the ice cream scene
Basically it was at the peak of when Pitcher was most curious and also confused about his curiosity for Squirrel and was like “y tha fuck do I even care?” and he tried to rationalize everything.
And then he sees squirrel licking tha ice cream.
Y’all probably know how the cliche scene goes and that’s why the author didn’t put emphasis on it and rather used that in a silent symbolism of him kind of stepping into the “physical attraction scene”
When squirrel left, he asked his friend what people usually think when they see someone asking just to double check and make sure that he isn’t crazy for thinking of it sexually.
And theeeeeeeennnnn he was like “okay imma check if that’s REALLY why I’m curious about him” or rather “imma check if I wanna bang him”
And then this
Voila
Hoped that helped a few!
The progression and sexual tension is so hella implicit since the characters aren’t blushing messes (they have fucking amazing poker faces hahaha) and their thoughts aren’t laid out every single time (plus there’s tsundere filters over them)
I hope that he really ran away and not anything else—
Coz I do be on the verge of tears oof
Y’all I was seriously expecting this to be the usual “stupid violent ML that doesn’t understand the basics of a relationship” and a manipulated MC who is desperately trying to get away but also can’t help but fall back into the trap—
That isn’t what I’m being fed rn and goddang it’s such a weird, unusual taste! It’s a violent guy but with a heart and conscious who is actually visibly smartly doing his best and it’s between hilarious, scary, and cute when they’re having a moment between the two. Heck, I found myself more upset with the MC than the ML sometimes coz ML gives such misunderstood aggressive doggo vibes and that it’s obvious he just needs a little social training (and that he is even open to being put in his place) and like if only MC could see his efforts or anyone else and praise him lie agh just in a couple chapter he tried and change so much (/TДT)/
He’s an aggressive misunderstood doggo who isn’t fully blind of how bad he could be and trying to be a good other half—
I need to point it out but
That meme at the is so fckin cute
Me: *applies acne treatment on my face after a nice hydration and then getting ready for my beauty sleep*
*the update*
Me: *cried everything off*
“I should change my phone again” after looking up what “safe word” is is even more alarming then not knowing what it means—
That Master is an abusive salt bastart
My brain did actually play the song the entire time and it carried the chapter hahahaha
I guessed from the summary and first chapter, but this is basically the story of a mother who gets a second chance at battling post partum depression. It’s amazing how well written this story is to be honest and it so realistic from all the characters’ sides! Like the toxic masculinity is so smooth too that even we just consider it the guys being heartless dicks but it’s obvious that they are just putting up fronts that they believe is right.
It’s so frustrating to read this though in a setting where mental health isn’t considered a real thing. Like SO many times I wanted to grab them by the shoulders, FL included, and shake them screaming “SHE IS SICK. SHE IS S I C K. IT’S NOT HER FAULT GET HER PROPER HELP SHE IS SICK IT’S JUST GONNA GET WORSE!”
Not recognizing her child as her own, getting frustrated while taking care of him, feeling randomly anxious and stressed, lonely, no feeling of love to her child, a dependency on her partner, it’s so so so striking but only to people who actually know what post partum depression is and how super severe it can get. And considering she 1) is limited in her freedom 2) has undergone a lot of stressful events 3) has communication/understanding issues with her husband 4) her husband often leaves for long period, leaving her feeling “abandoned” and 5) she cannot find even proper security in her marriage, the only thing she can lean on, because of the misunderstanding
The saddest saddest thing is how absolutely destroyed both her and ML are because of their confusion on her state. Like he is so confused and trying to help and appease somehow (without admitting his own feelings and battling his own expectation and reality distortion issues) and is hurt by misunderstanding her condition while she repeats so many times that she “doesn’t know” why she’s like this and that “it’s strange”.
It can’t get any clearer bro.
Anyways, all this to say that I really love how absolutely realistic this story is while still have some hella lovable characters
My only fear is that we’ll never have the satisfaction of everyone understanding that she is not at fault and that the guilt is just worsening her depression and emotional detachment from her child—
Like dang... imagine getting severe post partum depression as a teenager... man
