Imagine being a lowly peasant with nothing to your name except plot armor and generic isekai beauty given by the author, where every male lead invariably falls for you. The typical reader would want to go full on Melissa. But she doesn't have any political power. The main gripe, I think, is that she's spineless, while MC has had to work her way through her own mess. And we resent her for that. We see her being aware of this, but she also can't afford to contradict her betters. It's tricky, but she is her character is meant to be disliked and she knows it.

Well, from what I read when I went for spoilers,
she doesn't like the crown Prince, she just can't reject him because she is a maid... So being loved by everyone might actually be a pain for her if she wants to live her own life... She cant
you can’t say that chloe’s being stupid or childish because unlike other comics, she doesn’t have her past memories. she said that she only sees them on her dreams, so she might even believe that the ‘world’ she lived in was fake and just a simple mechanism to protect her brain or even just a dream. plus most people can’t even remember dreams or they end up foggy and unclear. she’s acting like a child, BECAUSE SHE IS ONE.
