Huimin was able to imprint on Iheon because he reassured him that he won't leave which made his pheromones get through in the process of Iheon trusting that he won't leave, is that right???? 'Puppy' is just a nickname because he's a cute small dog. He's so small compared to a wolf he's even sometimes referred to as a 'one day old puppy' in the novel. :P But don't let the size fool you, he's one hell of a badass and a true fighter. For example, later on he briefly takes over as the Watcher, and beats up a bear who underestimated him, initially refusing to pay back a loan.
