ok so i feel like the description really failed to mention the part with the vampire? I'm assuming the Duke and his bois are going to be werewolves considering his magical pet wolf.

I mean putting aside the Mother child dilemma going on what about how she lives forever and he will one day age and die? Either she has to give up her immortality or he has to somehow gain it for this relationship to work long term. She seems pretty content to be immortal so it would be kind of sad if the author made her give all that up for him.

kind of want to start taking bets for how many chapters it will be until he actually sees her human form. I'm betting another 25 and he will see her but won't know its her and then it will be another 10 until he figures out they are the same person.

The title is really bad but I actually like this one so far. The Fl is a cold and calculating business woman. Her dad is just as cold and cut throat and she is working her ass off to be the heir. She knows about the story and that the blonde sister is going to self destruct so she just needs to keep tabs on her until her scheduled doom in a year but she makes a miscalculation and dosnt realize she has to get married to become the heir so its now a race against the clock to get married. Thus she goes about essentially buying a contract husband for the sake of being the official heir. havent seen the ML yet but I like the FL and the weird dynamic she has with her brother who is like her shadow knight. I want to see where its going!

I get being desperate to go back but like did you REALLY think sleeping on a mattress was going to let you go back home? Also I really like how these novels are becoming self aware of their cliches now.

this sounds like an incredibly specific and superfluous job basically making luxury bookshelves. Is there that much of a market demand for luxury bookshelves? I feel like that is a really really niche market especially with e-books being so popular now.

to be honest its......kinda cringe....it feels like it was written as a 14 year olds stream of consciousness. Nothing really has a proper explanation. Like why does she get a do over despite being a horrible bitch for no reason at all? Why did she somehow get magic spirit calling powers? What happened to the random elf she rescued? Why couldn't the prince have summoned her to meet earlier if he was so curious? Why even disguise himself if his point is to meet his fiance? How did he ingratiate himself into their friend group so quickly? Why did Flare feel the need to forcibly throw them together despite her being visibly uncomfortable around him? Why did they even invite the bitchy snob girls? The pacing is so weird i cant tell if its been 3 days or 3 weeks since she got to the school.

Then a lot of the characters and their actions are straight up caricatures with no nuance. the green haired bitch is mean for no reason. instigates for no reason has 0 tact and the way they dealt with her was absolutely absurd. like she is still a nobles daughter and they grabbed her by the neck and choked her until she bled from the mouth and pissed her self in front of a whole room of witnesses. frankly-that was totally uncalled for when she was just basically childishly taunting people. Then Flare freaked out when he heard that the two bitchy snob girls broke into his girlfriends room and found the pen he gifted her on the floor. He acted like she fricked his brother or something.

Basically this whole series is one literature trainwreck that I can't quite look away from. its not good but it is somehow mesmerizing in how dumb it is. Like it is the unintentional parody soap opera of every reincarnation story ever.

This is actually a really good series! IF you are worried its going to be a naive and abused FL who is taken as a concubine and gets abused for 50 chapters this thankfully isn't that! In fact the series so far has been world and character building about and how and why she is doing what she's doing to protect the kindgom as she travels and studies to defeat the west. No bullshit quasi rape or palace drama just a lot of good ol adventure! She is pretty smart and strong though occasionally makes questionable choices. The characters are all good and interesting and it has interesting lore and world building.

tbh it was a fun ride right up to him breaking up with Calendula. I sort of wish I just stopped reading after that scene. Like he was never overtly cruel or unreasonable to the FL. He held up his half of the bargain and was reasonably polite to her all things considered. I just find him...shallow. like Calendula was "the love of his life" he was willing to get a fake marriage to keep her around. Which first of all is a scum bag thing to do to make your lover your dirty secret and second of all it was selfish to basically force his contract wife to do that too. Like its ok you can have a boyfriend! this is the thought process of a child. What was his plan for when it came to children and his legal wife with her lover gave birth to what would be a legal heir as far as anyone was concerned? Then his bio child would be considered a bastard illegitimate?

But aside from that the FL barely interacted with him. she did some home decorating and was polite to him and he fell in love that easily that he forgot all about the woman he started up this whole scheme for? Frankly Calendula had every right to be upset. She was the OG and the FL was the other woman to her and the ML had a major emotional affair.

Its sweet that he is trying to redeem himself and get to know her now but because of his past he feels very flaky and insincere. IDK I just wish that the FL had another option....

Idk whats with this wave of comments saying the FL is turning evil. From her perspective he killed her family that is what she understood. Thus she had a strong grudge against him. After meeting him as a child she is reminded of her trauma. His face was essentially the last she saw before her death so it has strong painful memories associated with it and so her anger is intensified by being around him. However He doesn't seem like a monster and its harder to hate a child but she is filled with so much hate and pain it has to go somewhere. SOMEONE had to have hurt her family. If he didn't who did? It would be a lot easier just to blame him since he was there when she was killed and she had believed he ordered their murder.

Since she has to get close to him they get familiar and that makes her sympathize with him more. Hes no angel but not the homicidal maniac she assumed he clearly dosnt kill without reasons. Now she has to wonder what her family did and if it was so bad it deserved to be killed for. She loves her family very much so its hard for her to think her very own flesh and blood who had raised her with love and care could have committed treason.

She is clearly struggling with her trauma and with trying to figure out who her grudge should be aimed at. I don't think she is acting evil at all. She quite logically assumed the prince was behind their murder and not having any idea of her families dirty dealings she could only assume he was a tyrant. As she gets to know him shes finding her assumptions were not 100% correct and is logically second guessing things but none of that changes he was the one who ordered her death so it's hard for her to forgive that no matter the reasoning's. If my neighbor ran over my dog even if it was an accident I would still be upset whenever I saw their face. That's not going to go away very quickly the negative emotion attached is too strong and it will take time for all that hurt to go away so you don't feel upset when you see them.

Im going to bet they dont realize whats actually going on and just think she has that disorder where she cant recognize faces
