idk where you're getting this "thinking of ho-in as a second option ?" sunbaes thoughts this chapter didn't convey that at all ?? if anything, you could say he wanted to "use" or even take advantage of ho-ins purity and kindness to make himself feel better ?? but even that's kind of putting it in a malicious light because sunbae has always been caring and gracious of ho-in ?? (in his own seemingly distant (?) kind of way) and IMO, i never saw any .. "romanticism" from sunbae directed towards ho-in. i always thought he just viewed him as a close friend, or even a little brother..
