I see a bunch of comments about people calling Maxi useless but not the actual comments? ANYWAY I'm super surprised that's what people got from this, this is SO impressive for her and I'm deadass proud. Ruth was like "yo this is gonna be a dangerous situation" and she was like "aight I'm there" ZERO HESITATION. Then! She shows up, and despite having a stutter, she tells a group of 30 MEN to FUCK OFF because SHE'S the leader of Anatol now. This man (who's ab to be dead-dead, thanks to daddy riftan) literally humiliates her about what she is most self-conscious about, and she STILL talks again, potentially inviting more ridicule, in order to tell him, again, to FUCK OFF. Like the only way this chapter would make her seem useless is if you're reading it from the asshat lord's pov, she absolutely CRUSHES this interaction.

I think the reason she wore it was because of her Father who taught her that it was something to help keep herself in control. But after he died I think she just used it as like a fashion piece / remembrance piece.
I think it wasn’t really to control her powers she wore it to get back to her human form of I remember correctly ╮(￣▽￣)╭
she no longer wore the crown after the father's death because it no longer made her take human form
So I absolutely love this comic and it gave me the EXACT same vibes as Stigma, which is definitely darker but if you liked this I really recommend you read that one next!
