Cosette is Keira's real sister, Cosette is dead when she's 1 year old (ig) but her mother made a contract with a demon which is why Cosette is still alive..
I guess she's being controlled or influenced by the demon for her to be like that, or she's a simply bitch wanting a power of her own without any hindrance, not sure but I still hate her..
PS: I don't hate the Father because I still dony know if he really doesn't care for Keira or he's being brainwashed by Cosette and that Demon..
