You’re right, author San can do what they want in a fake novel. But you can’t be mad at people being uncomfortable with the way a story was depicted (dialogue and imagery wise). An age gap doesn’t automatically equal “Chika gets wet over a kid with no pheromones”. It could have very easily been written as just a strong attraction between the two since haruka was undeveloped at the time. Haruka was not only te-pubescent biologically but also as an alpha? So It was just like...uh...what fate are you feeling? Because usually in omegaverses it’s all about the pheromones which again, haruka didn’t have. I think the concept is interesting to have a “forbidden pair” but the difference in knowledge/understanding of that they even meant, in terms of haruka, was uncomfortable. He was essentially written as a clueless, pure little kid getting touched and kissed

I mean... its possible that Haruka developed early. All we know is that the test that determines whether somebody is an alpha, beta or an omega is taken at the age of 10, but its not impossible for somebody to develop their pheromones earlier. Haruka’s could have been too weak for other’s to sense, but strong enough for Chika (since they’re a faited pair). But that’s just a theory.

Well again, for people reading omegaverses, leaving that detail out made people feel like “okay wtf, why is this attraction so strong for a child who hasn’t even 2nd gender tested.” And I also don’t think It helps that Harukas mother was also clueless/taken aback.
