I legit just inhaled this Manhwa in one sitting, holy shit.
This is an absolute masterpiece of writing and art.
The emotions feel so real and the whole situation hits close to home.
Struggling, being miserable, searching for someone to lean on and desperate trying to stay afloat in a sea of self doubt and hatred.
I can relate to so much and even cried at some points of the story.
I love stories that feel like real life and don't gloss over aspects because an issue needs to be resolved quick.
It feels so genuine and the author portrays these characters with passion, it's fascinating and beautiful.
Btw: on a side note I've been listening to "The Chameleons" while readings this, namely "Soul in Isolation" and "Swamp Thing". Just felt right.

Usually it's obvious someone is a killer and they start a relationship/get roped into it while knowing but I can't remember a Manhwa where they have a healthy relationship and then the Mc finds out their boyfriend is a killer.... I feel so bad for our MC ;-;

It's bloody, traumatic and changes the Mc.
It's truly a shame that the new art style probably won't be able to portray everything that was written since the visual in my head based on the descriptions is very elaborate.
I assume it'll be difficult to draw but I honestly appreciate that it continued, leaves me to hope for an official English translation of the novel one day!

Yep I'll just choose to ignore the problematic start and imagine this starting after the summer break/at Volume 2 and I really like this (excluding the start).
The art is drop dead gorgeous and their dynamic is interesting and adorable.
I feel like the author really wants to make this work now and have a good and compelling story.
So honestly I'd recommend starting with Volume 2 and you're pretty good on seeing a couple develop in a good direction.

Honestly it always depends on the type of abuse and how extreme you want to be with it.
I think JK has passed the point of believable redemption that I'm willing to root for.
A little bit of flawed toxicity at the start is fine and if the story is written well, I take no issue but drawing an abusive toxic top for preference doesn't sit right with me.
A lot of people will disagree but either make a shorter season 1 in favor of changing the Top starting with the next season or do it in season 1 and make the plot evolve around it being too late and JK desperately looking to redeem himself. (Then Dan leaves initiating season 2).
Redemption starts with oneself, it's not only Dan, but he's a jerk to everyone and has his own issues with pressure and stress & handling it badly.
It's such a shame bc the creator's note once again shows how absolutely talented Mingwa truly is, the sketches of Dan in maid look and hamster were to die for! It's gorgeous but wasted on a toxic plot.
Guess that's the type of stories she's into and I don't want to kink shame anyone but I think it can be done less excessive and still achieve the same result.
Tried reading this again but felt reminded why I dropped this at chapter 7...
It's so awkward and unrealistic, no built up, just fake confidence and manipulation. I really dislike plots that revolve around fake scenarios and lies (started with Fake Romance and why it's SO much better than compared to the start!).
The art is gorgeous but the plot is weird af.

Okay I just reread season 3 and noticed the heavy parallels between this and A cruel god reigns (my favorite manga), they're similar up to the end even! Leaving it vague and like a promise.
This might be one of the biggest reasons why I love it so much, the complexity of the story and the characters themselves are so wonderful.
Also the story isn't similar at all, just the self doubt and self destructing nature shown by YO in season 3 and the desperation of Kwon. They reminded me of Jeremy and Ian.
Although their story wasn't a typical happy end.
