I don't care what eye or hair color MC has as long as they have something unique about themselves. I usually prefer hot and dominant ones as long as their badass doesn't matter whether it's the female or male that is the dominant one.

When I Comment
I'm the lazy type when it come to texts. And when I comment on stuff I comment on it based on how the story plays out except I only know the beginning not the end(because it had 3 to 5 chapters for example). Meaning I comment on the first feelings I got from reading the manga for the first time. Sometimes I'm too lazy to fix my comment when it doesn't make sense. and I don't feel like updating my comment so I just leave it as it is. I really love how the author handles these serious issues and inner traumas of the characters.
Although I wish they met and talked, I can understand why he felt like he can't wait anymore only to have his hopes and heart crushed.
He's scared and keeps going back to the time where he sat in front of the door waiting endlessly for his mom to save him.
I also don't think it's bad to feel sorry for your partner, it shows you care and love them even though things aren't always easy.
I'm sure he'll talk with his mom in future chapters but for now I think it took a lot of courage to even go there and wait in the empty room reminding him of what he endured as a child.
I feel like this story tried to be way too ambitious.
I mean the general idea isn't that terrible but saying you're afraid of leading him down a wrong path AFTER doing him and before he even graduated, nah man
