This is literally SO GOOD!!
It reminds me of Traces of the Sun while leaning more into the fantasy aspect of things instead of character relationships.
The story is so promising and the art is gorgeous!
And I liked how we were able to see all the gruesome things happening in the Great Dungeon, the feeling of running out of Mana, suicidal thoughts, seeing corpses hanging from trees is truly horrific to image.
So it's much easier to picture the mental state and trauma the survivers face/have faced.
Leaving their dying wishes with Seo is such a kind gesture, wanting him to live on because he still had so much to live for.
Truly tragic and it actually made me tear up.
The way the story is written is brilliant and despite there being 40 chapters out now, it still feels like I should've let this cook longer because now I can't stop ;_; Gotta pray I find the novel.

I just read the newest update on L3zhin! This will take a 2 week hiatus and return on the 27th!
This was supposed to be a short story but thanks to good reception it was decided to become a medium length story (ノ≧∇≦)ノ !
The author said she needed time to reorganize the story and shared some character sheets, the MC was born on the 24th of March and is surprisingly the same height as me (171cm), thought for sure he was shorter being compared to the other guys lol
She also said the English Official will be out in May and that the Mc will grow to be more reliable in the future, can't wait to see where this story will be heading ^^

Honestly Yeongwoon is the saving grace for this Manhwa! The art is gorgeous yet again but the personality of the ML is horrid
I'm so glad Yeongwoon isn't another naive & easy to give in bottom but instead strong willed and kind to a fault. This writing is less annoying and actually makes me feel for him!
Sure he gives in a bit but who can blame him? The ML was his first love and lingering feelings can make anyone turn a blind eye against better judgment.

3 simple changes and this would easily be as successful as BJ Alex on here:
1) Instead of Dan being a lovesick, docile puppy, make him strong willed & hot blooded while still being cute around the one he loves, but he doesn't want to get treated bad and kinda argues back, teasing JK
2) Make JK less abusive, he can be a scary looking Top with an attitude but give him occasional sweetheart moments like blushing when Dan does something to provoke him and treating him somewhat special (not just as any other hole he gets to fuck for his jinx)
You can also include comedic moments and shift their dynamic from meek Dan x abusive JK to feisty Dan x annoyed but oddly fond of Dan JK
This would improve their interactions SO MUCH
3) Give them teasing moments, sexy snippets, not every intimate action needs to be all the way sex!!
I just read "2020" HIGHLY recommend, it's a 10/10 and does exactly this! They made out in front of the fridge (nipple play & kissing), Top fondled bottom while he was studying and stopped.
This would be spicy!! Develop their intimate interaction too!! Make it look like JK is into Dan while being dishonest at first and make Dan slightly hesitant but slowly falling for JK's antics
The rest can stay the same & this would easily be a 9-10/10!
Anyway just felt like writing this after reading 2020 just now, if you read that far, check out that Manhwa and come back....or don't, thanks for reading either way :)

Very much agree!
Though personally I think an even easier fix for Dan is to make him less stupid. Like him liking JK after all that is just unrealistic?? I feel it should've been more Dan looking up to JK and appreciating JK's help to some degree, though not love, becuase no matter the small moments JK is nice he is overall abusive. The author made Dan too much of dumb naive bottom, to an unrealistic extent.
Also, dude, I am going roll my back into the back of my skull if we get another BJ Alex ass "I have trauma.,..,.," excuse for his abuse. The author used it somewhat well in BJ Alex but it would not work here at all I feel.

YES 100% YES
His undying love for JK is so sudden and weird, he is literally treated like a sex slave, what does he like about him exactly? He's never once seen ONE good side of JK (doing good without being for personal gain like him being annoyed at Dan's situation or wanting easier access to sex), what's there to love unless you have a degradee kink?
I totally get the appreciation especially coming from Dan but the author stripped him of any actual personality, I do like him but he feels like early 2000's Yaoi Manga protagonist with the level of stupidity lol
Yeah same, the abuse in this Manhwa is taken to the extreme and honestly I didn't really like BJ Alex all that much either...it's okay but the insane praise people seem to give it seems exaggerated, there's an abundance of better Manhwa out there. Maybe it's nostalgia for most? Idk ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍

DUDE YOU SO RIGHT I JUST REALIZED LMAO
Made me realize that JK did totally only help him out to have easier sex I feel the only exception is when he was nice to Dan's grandma, maybe. Forgot so much of the plot honestly.
JK got like no redeemable qualities lmaoo.
I got like love hate relationship with BJ Alex, it's mid yeah but I go back and reread the like later parts cus it's cute (Alex buying the suger fish thing hehe)

Totally with you, this terrible plot is a waste of good art. (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
Each update's a sad moment, at this point even good art loses its shine.
Mingwa created a wonderful premise with Jinx, but didn't know how to develop it, she needs to learn from Crossing the Line author.
btw you described the plot of Crossing the Line, the best manga in the Redemption category (in my humble opinion, if you know any other good plot tell me xD)
https://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/crossing_the_line_1/

Exactly!
I feel like we're stuck in a loop, the story had so much potential!
No twists and turns but the same spiel of Dan being accused and treated badly. Their interpersonal relationships hasn't developed at all which is a shame, we're almost 50 chapters in and it feels like barely anything happened.
Crossing the Line is so good! The art is unique and the story has a nice flow. The biggest advantage over Jinx is that the Top is self aware and the Bottom has a backbone and doesn't just give in.
(SPOILERS for anyone who hasn't read it!
Like for example the confession we just got, Garam didn't just accept it because of their history, he thinks about it logically, even though he's moved by it, he refuses to be treated as a quick lay and was even aware of Yoon's feelings for him! Their interpersonal relationship is well developed and the conflict is clearly established. + you can see how Yoon has improved and grown to be more respectful of Garam).
I think the redemption arc in Limited Run is nice since the Bottom doesn't forgive easily and accept the Top back in his life in order to protect his heart.
But then again it's one of my favorite BL Manhwa of all time so I'm biased xD
In general I hate when the MC just forgives the ML which we'll probably see in Jinx, I want to see proper growth and acknowledgement of the wrong doings which is the whole point of redemption but I fear Dan will just go with it once JK is a bit nicer someday.

I feel like y'all need to realize this isn't a real romance. There's no romance tag in the off|cial site. It's about two characters facing trauma together and it's gonna take so fk long to progress. Toxicity at its finest.
The plot is nice if you think about it. It's all revolving around his Jinx. But I totally agree with y'all.

I think I heard somewhere that Mingwa said this was a classical love story? Maybe I was misinformed ;_;
But facing trauma together? I don't think it's written well in that regard, I can recommend "The Pizza Delivery Man and The Gold Palace" which actually deals with trauma and how two characters get together and help each other cope. Wonderful story!
And I didn't get the feeling his Jinx was even mentioned much after the first few chapters, we know nothing about why he got it or his backstory.
The premise is interesting and I'd love to see that aspect in more detail.
For example in "Fucked by my best friend" where the MC gets turned into a girl for being a hopeless fuck boy, there's a lot of character growth but they still focus on searching for a way to return him to normal and finding the culprit.
Sorry if this turned into an involuntary recommendation session ;_;

Thanks for the reply. I totally agree.
The only thing mingwa said was they would end up together. She didn't promise us a lovely fluffy romance at all. She was quite specific at one of her events saying that Jk’s gonna be more toxic than Jiwon. What you heard was prob a rumor cause I follow up with her twitter. But anyway, I hope we read this to the end!♡
"Grow a backbone" NOW THAT'S RICH COMING FROM THAT ASSHOLE
He's the one who's manipulating Yeongwoon and takes advantage of his past feelings for him and his kindness in general.
He's complaining that Yeongwoon gives in too easily and then draws a line while he clearly pushed himself onto him in the first place and guilt tripped him into doing stuff again....then he gets mad that Yeongwoon declines.
Who is he really mad at? Yeongwoon or himself for becoming someone Yeongwoon would rather stay away from....the nerve
He's angry at the mc for getting fooled by the younger celebrity guy. The real question would be, does he have a right to be angry at the "unequal treatment"? Well, if we talk from the emotional side, it's definitely a "no," but it's different if we're talking about his duties as a professional manager: from that perspective, the ML at least right in one thing, that mc works for him now, he's the one paying the mc's salary now, so the mc has no business wasting time with another celebrity, anymore. The mc accepted the ML's offer knowing it's a full time, exclusive job, but many times he ditched the celeb he was getting paid to take care of (and to accompany to events) in order to go see what the younger guy wanted. It's obvious that, if this kept on, it would end up causing him to really start neglecting his current job.
When he said that, he was talking about their relationship, like him and Yeongwoon fooling around but the latter drawing an invisible line all of a sudden, declining his kiss even though he said that he'd "take care" of him.
I agree on your last point, Yeongwoon has a duty as the manager and I understand that he's angry at him for getting fooled by the younger celebrity but that's only talking about the perspective of a celebrity not wanting his managers attention being elsewhere and that isn't what he meant while saying that imo. It was purely an emotional response, I don't think the ML felt that the MC neglected his duties or would do do but instead got upset that he can't manipulate him as easily as in the past. Then again we don't know their full backstory yet ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ I'll give their relationship a chance but the ML personality is still iffy.
