Is Omegaverse transphobic?
I'm racking my brain and I'm pretty sure it's something to do with the fact that men can get pregnant in this verse? maybe because they use a CIS man instead of a trans man? Would that be better though? Let's not forget that GENERALLY omegaverse is pwp, I mean, cmon, there are gems of course but honestly? Representation of transgender people are actually spreading nowadays, with beautifully senstive and accurate portrayels which is honestly such an eye opener and you really want that representation to turn to inaccuracy and have trans men be raped? Because let's be honest, there alot of those in omegaverse. The fandom is getting better slowly, the fetishising of mlm are decreasing gradually, you really want to bring transgender people to have fetishisers of their own? By the way, IS this the reason why Omegaverse is believed to be transphobic? If not, please elaborate on your own opinion.
Mysoginy? People hating on feminine "ukes"?
This is actually an interesting one. So, the reason why feminine "ukes" are so hated and masculine ones so praised has actually nothing to do with mysoginy. If you look at past yaoi, or at least the types of ones being published a long time ago, there was always that dominant x submisssive which led for there to be a unaccurate portrayel of mlm. People really thought every gay relationship consists of that feminine crybaby and a dominant guy. This also tied into people actually believing that "uke" and "seme" can be used to categories every gay couple. The reason masculine "ukes" are praised so much is because it challenges that stereotypical crybaby. I'm glad the fandom is changing, though it has a long was to go still, the growth is there.
Rape in fiction
I agree with the hypocrisy of thinking murder glorification is fine but not rape. Arguably rape is worse than murder, but murder is still a heinious act that should never be glorified but all too often is, which I find confusing when people joke about murder but turn around saying joking about rape is bad? There is nothing wrong with watching media that depicts a serious topic, as long as it's presented appropriately. Horror movies more often than not portray murder, killing and etc as a negative, right? So if a yaoi manga wants to use rape as a NEGATIVE thing instead of romanticising it, that is okay. Complaints are warranted, especially if it is for problematic things, such as glorified rape! Obviously seperate your fiction and your reality, but fiction does actually affect reality. Not on a 1:1 basis but all the same. "Its just Fiction" isn't good enough: https://springhole.net/writing/neverjustfiction.htm
Maybe you agree, maybe you disagree with me, please, I would like to hear your opinion as well :)
