The author didn’t show at any point that the gangster had an ounce of interest in the little brother. At least I didn’t see it… ngl even now I don’t see the gansgter showing interest in the little brother…sad but if suddenly the gangster starts to see the mc like that NOW then yeah I wouldn’t mind that. Isn’t that okay?
And honestly the bit with the gangster trying to break the thread….i dont get how that affects his connection with the brother? Also they explained why he needs to break the thread. The shaman said it's the only way to reconnect his wasted thread to a potential new one (the brother). Obviously it was probably bullshit cause the man was about to die and wanted an out but the gangster believes it and has no qualms following through with it.
