Like yes he's an innocent person too BUT IF YOU JUST LET HIM DO WHATEVER WHILE RAMPAGING HES GONNA KILL THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE, and I don't think ML wants that to happen either so the best case scenario (even tho it still sucks he has to go through that) is to keep him tied up so he doesn't do something he regrets.
