The society he's looking at as he thinks this was, as narration put it, basically only possible cuz of him, so like.......... like bud what do you mean your sacrifices created this peaceful society
Second, of course barely anyone knows him as a person because he literally wanted to stay anonymous when working as a hunter?? Like wow it's almost as if you actively prevented people from knowing you. Like ok fine sure maybe all his team members died in the past 8 years, that'd be understandable but the context makes it sound like no one remembers him or smth
