They don’t end up together and the fl doesn’t forgive the ml. The ml does fall head over heels over her, and she did love him, however the hate overweight it. I believe she indirectly killed herself due to how fast how mental health decline so her physical was decking with it. She made the ml promise that he won’t meet her in the next life, and after she dies, the ml never remarried and is in guilt until he does of old age. I don’t remember how this part go but they do end up meeting in the next life, but it’s an open ending up to the reader on what happens
