There are very few characters I want to line up and shoot and Gunner is one of them. He always talks and acts like those abusive and gaslighting husbands that crawls back into the house and repeat "I can change" just to do it again. I do feel bad for him, as someone who grew up poor and in an abusive household too yet, drugs aside, you don't see most of us using it as an excuse to do shit like this to people you technically care about. I feel worse for Theo, he clearly wants to see the best in people but the thing is... some people can't change.

EXACTLY MY THOUGHTS BUT WORDED COHERENTLY
I feel so bad for Theo and NEED him to not give this guy another another chance. Like there’s a point where you have to give up on a relationship like this. You don’t have to give up on the person perse but it’s just bad to go back into a romantic relationship again

This is so good. Like really good. I was GLUED to my phone and couldn't stop reading until 6am and I had to get up to go to work at 8am. Today im running on literally 2 hours of sleep and i dont regret it one bit.
It's the same author as Approximal guide and I loved the novel a lot, the author is really sooo good at world building and character development. I can see that they kept some of the guideverse elements that were in the Approximal guide novel in this story too, but the military and the guide ranking is very different. I really have high hopes for this story too!! Btw I'm pretty sure it will be r15 for main story and r18 for side stories like Approximal guide, I think the author prefers that a wider audience can read their novels and on ridi you need to show an id that shows you're over 18 to read nsfw novels.
I actually didn't mind ML that much, he is a scumbag and pretty annoying but honestly so far he just has a shitty personality/mentality but he's far from being a Cesar, Heeseo, Zhenya, Ilay or Jaekyung to say a few lmao he clearly cares about MC a whole lot but for some reason (probably dumb too) he doesn't want to show it to him yet he shows it to pretty much everyone else, readers included. Having read their other story and knowing the author's writing style I can take some pretty certain guesses about some points of the plot, but I'm still curious to see how it will go. I'm really close to buy the novel for this one too honestly

So he's actually showing him where he really used to spend his time? Because mc kept saying absolutely nothing rang a bell I thought for *sure* he was showing a random apartment he bought and a random school where nobody knew him so that it would've not triggered his memory... guess he's less of a scumbag than I thought or he might just be dumb and naive lmao

I said this last time but... I really can't fucking believe a big gang leader like him is this dumb. He is super obssesed with Yujun yet he hasn't checked his phone at all and see that its bugged during ALL the time he was with him? He hasn't install anything on his phone too either to see where he goes? He really believed the other group just let him leave like that? He is so dumb that he will let him go to that party alone? When it's such an important job too? Did he even remove the tracking app or are they still listening to their plan? He deserves to lose Yujun to a crackhead at this point I just feel bad for Yujun that is being used as sex slave no matter where he goes

I really like the story but it's kinda pissing me off how dumb the bodyguard spy is because if Yeshin really has the necklace and he goes only from home to school and from school to home and the necklace isn't at home it's most likely at school shouldn't he know what he does at school anyway? And that he works with accessories? If it isn't in a safe then he's using it for his school project

Ah we really needed this flashback to understand Seoin point of view. It doesn't excuse him and justify at all everything he has done and how he acted but it surely gives a reason. Super happy we are back in the present, I will miss his black hair though he looks so good with it ughh
Also!! I don't remember very well but Yeongwoon went to try to meet with Seoin before he left right? And then Jaewon caught him and he and his thug friends ganged up on him and beat him up, the mother found out but sided with Jaewon who was about to die and paid Yeongwoon's dad to keep their mouth shut about the whole thing. The friend probably knew about the beat up and that it was because of him and Jaewon so he told Seoin to stop involving Yeongwoon, probably because he was scared it happened again. Then I think the dad accepted the deal and kept all the money for himself so he could gamble it all again and Yeongwoon run away with some of the money and the ahjussi's help... I think that's pretty much how the timeline went, its been some time since I've read s1. And I wholly agree with a comment below, its kinda fucked up that they are making the ahjussi a love interest when he is clearly a parental figure that Yeongwoon desperately want(ed) and need(ed).
I had left this to marinate when Kyuho confessed but were still here... might just read the novel at this point... this is eating me alive because I can understand both sides on how they view "dating" but they act so dumb about it it stressed me out too
omg can you share the link, please?
